Bill O'Reilly has called out MTV for how stupid their people are in their lack of transparency regarding their celebrity-laden Hope For Haiti Now telethon. Cable news TV's most powerful punditbased on the being the most-watched cable news show in the USmade the comments in a segment that was part of his newly started investigation of MTV (folks behind the telethon) for lack of transparency and potential problems with the money raised actually going to Haiti for its intended purpose of helping the Haitians. To be clear, O'Reilly is not discouraging Americans from giving aid to Haiti, but, rather, is merely ensuring that the millions of dollars being poured out by Americans in these hard, economic times is actually going to its intended destination...something that MTV, thus far, has failed to prove beyond the shadow of a doubt.

I learned my lesson re: dumping money on a problem after Katrina.
Picking on an entertainment TV channel for mis-using funds they raise through good intentions is not the best use of our time. What Haiti really needs is the generation of wealth, or it will stay in the same mess it has been for years, long after the aid deliveries and TV cameras find a new favorite charity.
This is deja vu. O’Reilly went after George Clooney for the tsunami aid telethon.
He said on this show, that the money may be going to other pet projects or celebrity causes; you give because you want to give to Haiti and your dollars may go to Darfur (just an example based on Clooney’s lobbying).
And that is a problem; it might be a nice cause, but people should know where and who their money is going to and what it is being used for.
I wouldn’t trust MTV with a penny of my money.
I wouldn’t trust any “celebrity” with my charity money.
Remember “Live Aid” some years ago? Most of the food that was bought with those millions rotted on shipping docks.
I had read that Huey Lewis refused to play because the producers couldn’t guarantee that the food would get where it was needed.
Anyone who’d give their money to MTV deserves what they get.
***Remember Live Aid some years ago?***
Beat me to it! What ever happened to the funds from “Farm Aid”?.
The money collected from the song ‘We are the world’?
The money collected from “Feed the World (Let them know it’s Chrismas time)?
Wouldn’t be surprised to find the money going to everything from ACORN to Planned Parenthood. Lefties have no shame
First two words were all that was needed.
MTV Stupid.
