He managed to put his finger on why we think both parties are the same yet there are differences.

It is the progressives in both parties, not that Republicans and Democrats are the same....it’s the progressives.

Well, yes. The comparison of Obama and Wilson is especially apt. although as an Orator, Obama can’t hold a candle to Wilson. Ditto as a party leader: in 1913 dominated he Democratic Congress and get his domestic agenda passed. A “pale” imitation of Wilson. Ironically, Wilson was a racist through and through. And I think he admired “Birth of a Nation.”

We're in CA for a couple of months. Don't have either cable or satellite, so don't watch GB as we usually do. When we found LS was going to be on the program, made a point of going to a neighbor's house and watching. Excellent presentation. I learned a lot. I have the books by LS and by Folsom, but never heard of the 3rd guy. I must get his book.

Glenn Beck needs to run the following quote to an original source:

"The two enemies of the people are criminals and government, so let us tie the second down with the chains of the Constitution so the second will not become the legalized version of the first."

Liked this quote so much, I was going to use it upon my FR homepage. But I found this:

So far we have been unable to locate such a statement in any of Jefferson's writings. http://wiki.monticello.org/mediawiki/index.php/The_two_enemies_of_the_people

Cheers,
OLA
