Speaking of shooting around corners - look up the German “Krummlauf” (spelling??) barrel for the StG44; curved barrel with a special optic for “shooting around corners”.

Evidently it was good for a few shots before the barrel neede replacement, but they did use it...

If you move your hand in an arc while firing you curve the bullet's path. I know cause I saw it in a movie.
