Georgetown today issued a press release asking fans to plan on arriving at Verizon Center 45 minutes earlier than usual for the Duke game tomorrow "due to the number of dignitaries expected to be in attendance, there will be enhanced security at the entrances to the arena." One of the fans in attendance will be President Obama, according to The Hill.

Let me know to which bench he sits closer. I’ll bet on the other team.

I can’t get enough of the guy. I’d also like to see him shopping at Target, and getting a haircut at Joe’s Hair Emporium, located at 6th and West Market Street.

He’s really got to stop working so hard.

>>Tomorrows game is also a special benefit for Darfur. From The Hill:
Saturdays game at the MCI Center will raise money for educational programs in the war-ravaged Darfur region of Sudan, and other special guests include NBA star Tracy McGrady, Alexander Aleinikoff, ahe United Nations Deputy High Commissioner for Refugees, and John Prendergast , Co-founder of Enough, the project to end genocide and crimes against humanity at the Center for American Progress.
Aleinikoff, of course, recently left his job as Dean of the Law Center for his current post.
Typically, the White House will not confirm the news, but Obama recently attended a George Washington game against Oregon State this past November. John McCain watched the Hoyas beat Syracuse around this time last year.

"Let me know to which bench he sits closer. Ill bet on the other team."I think Duke is his home team. They call themselves the blue Devils.

part of his ‘reaching out to the people’ strategy obviously involves being ‘cool sports fan guy’. He’s been on espn all week.

Can’t Obama just watch the game on TV and save the taxpayers some money?

No TV in the White House? Or is Michelle watching what First Ladies wear/were?
Will the Jesuits and the fans of Georgetown have to remove any religious symbolism they may be carrying?
Did he invite Duke lacrosse team to the game and offer to drink a beer withe them?
How about the Detroit skivvy bomber; or the guys who were being to be tried in a civilian trial in NYC? No beer for them till they "'fessup"!
I believe I heard that the Germans who attended the Nazi rallies were also asked to be in their seats 45 minutes before the festivities started; not because of security but so they could give a proper salute to the the commander in chief when he entered.
I think Stalin chose to execute those who attended the functions but did not have the proper “attitude”.
Incidentally there will be no TEA available at the concession stands. :@()-{

Gee. If he wouldn't tell anyone, he could just show up with his dozen Secret Service guys and no one who might think to do him harm would know.

This is just an opportunity for The Usurper to sit down and talk over race relations and Affirmative Action for Thugball Athletes with that most even-handed and open-minded of coaches, John Thompson.
