I think Hayworth just won himself the GOP nomination.

What a piece of treasonous trash Juan McAmnesty is....and his partner in crime....Lindsey Goebbels.

I am beginning to wonder if his time in the Hanoi Hilton was truly involuntary....

Ok Hayworth people, make an ad repeating this quote and play it over and over again in AZ.

My opinion, ultimately they will migrate to the Liberal side of the spectrum, but then again I haven’t traveled in South / Central America or Mexico lately or read any polls to see what political system they seem to prefer down there. Anybody know?

Even if McCain (R) were to successfully lead the charge for amnesty, illegals will tend to vote with the same monolithic consistency for Democrats.

They're not like blacks, though. Socially, most are conservative -- quite Catholic. And they're preferred labor because most of them are reliable and work hard -- better than the average unskilled black or unskilled white.

Problem is, liberal advocacy organizations -- like La Raza, LULAC, MALDEF, etc -- have made illegals a cause celebre and organized them...like blacks have been organized by ACORN. Remember the hundreds of thousands of illegals who marched with Mexican flags in Phoenix, Dallas, et al?

As a consequence, illegals tend identify with Democrats. Eventually, they fall into the welfare net...and become dependent on liberal Democrats.

Even if Republicans were actually responsible for giving them amnesty (as the GOP was primarily responsible for black civil rights and voting rights), they would be immediately co-opted by their advocacy organizations into the Democrat party.

There is absolutely nothing here for the Republicans -- aside from gaining the respect of other immigrant communities (including legal Latinos) by standing for their honor and citizenship.

Being an Arizonan, it's amazing the McCain doesn't seem to realize this. It's evidence of how totally out of touch he is with the national GOP base and his Arizona constituents.

It's catastrophic that Obama is our President. But, at the same time, I also thank my lucky stars McCain isn't.

It was “vote for 0bama,” “vote for the lesser evil (McCain),” or “vote for something of total irrelevance (or not at all).”

People made a rational, decent decision to vote for McCain versus the even worse alternatives.

He was the top of the ticket, but Sarah would have been first in line when he died.

Interesting, Iwaslooking at the photos of last night and McCain and Graham were standing up and clapping like idiots.

Are they both there to destroy the party?

Quite a few Throwback threads today on McCain,, going back aways and dealing with his ‘failings’ as a Senator. Good.

Folks should know who they are voting for.. and not just vote for the old white haired guy, assuming wisdom comes with the package..

If you still believe in the integrity of the election system in this country, we have nothing more to say to each other.

"Listen to these people ... Why would I want to be the leader of a party of such a$$holes?"

More "moderate" Republican attacks on conservatives like Goldwater J.D. Hayworth?

Been there. Heard 'em.

Nelson Rockefeller according to Stuart Spencer (Rockefeller's public relations head) said, "We had to destroy Barry Goldwater as a member of the human race."

Getting rid of the loser McCain, the one who worked so hard to get the 2008 Republican nomination because it was “his turn”, only to throw the election to Obama, would be sweeter than winning the Mass. senate seat.

You can do it Arizona. I’m pulling for you.

Hell, I voted for McCain for one reason only. Not to do so was to vote for Obama. There’s very, very bad, and then there’s very much worse. Those were the choices, and I voted for bad.

If, if, if! I never said or implied that.

I wonder if he ever stopped to think that it was his side of the debate that was “destroying the party”.
