Kim Jong-il Regularly Undergoing Dialysis
(Tokyo=Yonhap News) Choi Irak = N. Korean leader Kim Jong-il, who were suffering from what is suspected to be a stroke and had lost lots of weight, are regularly undergoing dialysis these days. S. Korean and Japanese authorities are both sharing this intelligence, according to Jan. 28 report of Sankei Shimbun(of Japan,) quoting multiple intelligence sources.
The paper said this is an indication that he has kidney problem and it could be complications from his diabetes.
Kim's health appeared to be alright in light of his active inspection tours inside N. Korea last year, but both S. Korea and Japan are keen to find out his real condition of health and collecting intelligence on it, according to the paper.
Both countries obtained the intelligence on his dialysis last fall. Japanese government sources said, "We were told that Kim meets foreign dignitaries after completing his dialysis, making him look quite healthy during the meeting," according to the paper.
Last August, former U.S. president Bill Clinton's personal doctor, who was part of his delegation(to N. Korea,) had a chance to observe Kim at a close distance, and reportedly said later that Kim looked better than he expected.

This is pretty much what I have suspected. He is prepared for important public event in which he can talk, dine, and even drink with dignitaries for hours. Then he is back to his debilitated state. Then he get another dialysis, and looks better again. How long he can continue like this? That is the question.

I don’t know how long he can continue like that, but they said the same thing about Bin laden about 6 or 7 yeards ago and he went to the mountains where there were no dyalisis machines and they claim he is still alive.
Maybe Kim should go off into the mountains.

How many ordinary North Koreans have access to dialysis? None.

Which makes me wonder if Bin Laden didn't get a kidney transplant?
If Kim could survive getting a transplant, they'd steal a kidney or two for him. If not, he's very very sick.

Reminds me of that episode of Star Trek where the nazi party members ran things behind the scenes and propped up their drugged leader John Gill for periodic TV announcements.
