Former eBay CEO Meg Whitman says in her new book that, while she has a deep admiration for John McCain, she was frequently troubled by his presidential campaigns strategic decisions and internal disorganization.
Whitman, a national co-chair for the Republican senators campaign and top surrogate for him writes in her autobiography The Power of Many that her experience with his campaign was not without frustration.

When it came time to choose a running mate, for example, I believed that the times called for the skills of Mitt Romney, because he would have complemented Johns inspirational leadership with the practical experience of having managed large and complex organizations, both in business and as a governor, Whitman writes. Mitt was fluent in economics and deeply familiar with the workings of Wall Street, which would have stood the country in great stead.
Instead, the campaign struggled as the economy unwound, and Senator Obama ran a cutting-edge, highly effective campaign. But until the end, John fought the good fight, and I'm enormously proud of his courage and our friendship, Whitman adds, not mentioning Palin in the section of the book dedicated to the campaign.

Mitt has one thing going for him - he hates Juan McCain.
Meg and Mitt were called to testify before a congressional committee on healthcare reform.....
The two of them together a year or so ago.
Mitt is the National Perot.
Meg is the California Perot.
Sabotage is their game - they can’t win.
But they can spit the Pubbies, and let the Rats win.
And that’s exactly what they intend to do.
Mitt and McCain use a lot of the same people. I think the only one that they don’t like is Palin.
“Whitman signed on to McCains campaign after serving as a national co-chair and raising $12 million for former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romneys ill-fated big for the GOP presidential nomination.
Her allegiance to Romney carried on as McCain prepared to select a running mate, eventually settling on Sarah Palin, then governor of Alaska.”
Thanks for the post. I won’t vote for this RINO.
In said no ever since she got mixed in with McCain’s team. Now it’s twice as no! :-)
I vote for Meg Whitman. Most people assume Jerry Brown will win. Thus, my vote is firm.
Our stupid senate has twice passed a bill that will change our current state health insurance system. Arnold has vetoed it...twice.
Geez we have crummy choices...
Are you aware that Pozner made his millions from the Ebay IPO, and that Whitmans made actual billions from the Ebay IPO, which was managed by Goldman Sachs where she sits on the Board of Directors?
Did you know that Goldman Sachs alone contributed more money to the campaign of Barack Obama, than McCain received from ALL of Wall Street?
What do you really think about an alleged Republican running for governor of California who NOT once ever mentions Sarah Palin in her book?????
This woman is an utter loser, what a pathetic lump of alleged humanhood.
How is Meg Whitman a pimp?
