The DU is showing the hyper-partisan deep thinkers that they are. They have no sense of proportion about anything. When a Republican or a conservative does something it’s terribly wrong, end of story.

I was referring to Obama being the idiot/buffoon. In his SOTUS, he said “let’s use common sense”, which he never seems to do.

Sorry, I don’t understand how your question, comparing Alito with Obama, is “rhetorical”. That’s like comparing Dom Perignon with branch water.

Soros nearly single-handedly financed the lobbying efforts to pass McCain-Feingold campaign finance reform. In so doing, he was able to harness far greater political control for himself.

Now that large portions of the law have been deemed unconstitutional by the Supreme Court, a fight will be necessary to salvage his leverage. President Obama has already signaled that this fight will be one of his own priorities.

"Where on earth does a sitting President get off criticizing a SCOTUS decision in a State of the Union address?"

One of the most heretofore antagonistic relationships between a POTUS and SCOTUS was during the administration of Andrew Jackson. Even the uncouth, outspoken Old Hickory reserved his desultory remarks for private conversations and correspondences.

President Obromide is truly trash.

It’s the second time he’s made a major speech and called a liar by someone in the audience. That has to be a presidential first.

“reversed a CENTURY of established law???”

And precedent as “established law”, sacred in its own right is a British idea. Here, nothing is supposed to pass muster without being faithful to the constitution. In England, where they have no Constitution that is the final word, they substitute a growing body of law, based on precedent.

This deep reverence for case law, is the tool of the totalitarian who thinks he should not have to answer to the constitution.

Interesting comment regarding the birth certificate. TOTUS should not have alienated Alito so badly. If memory serves me, Alito was the one of the 4 conservatives not on record to refer the birth certificate issue to the full court for review. Roberts, Scalia, and Thomas all did. It never made it out of conference.

I always thought perhaps Alito did not pull the lever to give the 4th vote for review.

Makes me wonder now.

I wasn’t sure if it was spelled with one or two “L”s.

I checked on Al Gore’s amazing internet and there was no official spelling by Dead Ted...

We all need to remember who gave us that horrible which helped elected a Dem Congress and Obama - Juan McCain.

Obama sounded like Chavez, Castro or Mugabe attacking SCOTUS.

Did Obama had the Supreme Court justices seated just in front of him so he can scold them in public?

Probably - it would wouldnt surprise me in the least. That play is gonna cost him down the road.

Obama’s entire LECTURE was nothing but Liberal projection, lies and distortions with the intent of destroying Free Speech, destroying Capitalism and creating the Socialist state that Obama and his minions want for America. Joe Wilson a member of the Legislative branch and now Justice Alito a member of the Judicial branch have both now accused the Executive of Lies and distortions.

Will our democracy survive? Will the seperate branches see the growing threat in the executive? More important Will they have the courage to do something about it?

Contrary to what Obama wants this is not a dictatorship where he controls all branches of government and he supposedly a constitutional scholar has much to learn.

Sad days in America we must remind the people that it will take a majority in Congress for Republicans to IMPEACH him because the rubber stamp Democrats are all wearing Socialist RED.

"Alito is a hero. Now let's go get that BIRTH CERTIFICATE!

Obama is such an arrogant fool. He's literally DARING the Supreme Court to take up the birth certificate/eligibility cases.

I have never in my life seen a president attack one of the other branches of government like this. And in such a high profile forum like the SOTU speech, of all places.

Unreal.

Unreal indeed. Speaking of unreal....

HOW CAN A NATURAL BORN CITIZEN'S STATUS BE "GOVERNED" BY GREAT BRITAIN?

“When Barack Obama Jr. was born on Aug. 4,1961, in Honolulu, Kenya was a British colony, still part of the United Kingdom’s dwindling empire. As a Kenyan native, Barack Obama Sr. was a British subject whose citizenship status was governed by The British Nationality Act of 1948. That same act governed the status of Obama Sr.‘s children.

Furthermore:  Hawaii's Territorial Law, Chapter 57 - "VITAL STATISTICS, I", shown beginning pg 23 of 29, (the law in effect in 1961) allowed baby's born anywhere in the world to be eligible to apply for a Hawaii birth certificate.
