Weakest major speech I have ever seen him make. Really off his rhythm and pace tonight.

Was a policy speech more than a rhetorical speech, and that isn’t an easy series of subjects to keep interesting.

Was very much of a speech trying to convince people to believe him rather than spelling out how his methods will meet his goals.

I noticed you can count a load of more spending programs and a spending freeze that's already a joke. I don't think he heard America last week.

The bloom is off the rose. No one really believes he will be able to change the ways of Washington. He's not serious about correcting course. I'm happy with the way things are going. The Democrats will coming crash down to earth come November.

You’d think he’d make a personal token by cutting Michelle’s staff down to an even 2 dozen and no more than 30 czars for himself.

Last week, the Supreme Court reversed a century of law to open the floodgates for special interests – including foreign corporations – to spend without limit in our elections. Well I don't think American elections should be bankrolled by America's most powerful interests, or worse, by foreign entities. They should be decided by the American people, and that's why I'm urging Democrats and Republicans to pass a bill that helps to right this wrong.

These weren't the exact words he delivered on this subject. He ad-libbed another sentence or two. Has a President ever attacked the Supreme Court Justices (who are present) for a decision during a State of the Union address before? That seems like a huge breach of protocol. Kind of something the dictator of a bannana republic might do.

Did anyone catch Pelosi when Obama was addressing the GOP side saying they would have to work together?

She looked like she belched acid into her mouth and took a second or two to recover. It was very strange.

You are right, it is a first and a perfect way to turn them against him. McCain Fiengold was a bill, Congress can pass all the bills they want, SCOTUS will just find them un-Constitutional. For a guy who supposedly is supposed to know something about the Constitution, he really doesn’t seem to know very much.
