Patrick Hughes (R)-Illinois Moneybomb for US Senate Primary February 2nd (Mark Levin Endorsed)

Money Bomb: Help Us Reach Our Goal Of $50,000 Today

We are exactly one week away from the primary election in Illinois and we have a chance to make a final nationwide push to stop the RINO Mark Kirk from being the Republican nominee. Mark Kirk is the Republican Establishment's liberal golden boy who will turn his back on the Republican Party and its voters the day he is elected. Mark Kirk had no problem bailing out Nancy Pelosi and Barack Obama when he voted for Cap and Trade as a Congressman. What will he bailout for them as a U.S. Senator?

Our own internal polling shows that Mark Kirk is leading this race, but that his support is weak. The majority of his supporters are only "leaning" towards him as their choice for the February 2nd Republican primary.

Republicans in Illinois want a Conservative, and when they hear Patrick's message support for him surges. 21% of Primary voters "Strongly" or "Moderately" support Patrick compared to Mark Kirk who only has 15% of primary voters that "Strongly" or "Moderately" support him.

59% of Republican primary voters in Illinois are still undecided or swayable with just a week left. We have an amazing chance to surge in the final week of the campaign, inform Illinois about Mark Kirk's terrifyingly liberal voting record and win this primary, but we need your help. Republicans cannot have another Dede Scozzafava which is exactly what Mark Kirk is, a pro-choice, anti-gun, big government spending RINO.

We need to drop our own "Money Bomb" just like Scott Brown did in the final week against Martha Coakley. Tell your friends, co-workers, and any good Conservative you know about our race. We have a chance to take our country back in 2010 and return to fiscal responsibility, limited government, and traditional values; all things my opponent has spent the last decade fighting against as a member of the Congress that has put us in the mess we are in today.

The last thing we need in Washington is more Washington. Help us stop Mark Kirk from continuing his career as a big government spender and help us take back our country! Donate today and encourage your friends to do that same.

Together we can Take It Back -Patrick Hughes-

With that outlook, I guess Scott Brown shouldn’t have run either, given the odds and the legacy he was up against. Or am I not understanding where you’re coming from correctly? I mean, it’s okay if you feel that way, I just don’t want to misrepresent your position.

I had to read the article twice. There is more information about Mark Kirk than Patrick that I wondered for whom the money bomb was. A little bit more info on Patrick would be helpful as well as him being mentioned more times in this article.

How Pat Compares To Mark Kirk

Patrick Hughes opposes Cap and Trade
It will be the largest tax increase in American History - and the largest transfer of power to the federal government since the New Deal. Mark Kirk was one of 8 Republicans who voted for it.(http://clerk.house.gov/evs/2009/roll477.xml)
Patrick Hughes does not support the expansion of government or increased regulation

Mark Kirk’s vote for Cap and Trade legislation supports an increase of government regulation in the lives of American families. His near decisive vote on the Cap and Trade bill also helped Democrats gain the legislative cover needed to pass the health care bill which, if put into law, would be a massive expansion of the federal government.

Patrick Hughes supports America’s progress towards energy independence

Mark Kirk opposes using America’s resources to gain energy independence. He voted for prohibiting oil drilling and development in ANWR.

Patrick Hughes believes in “Peace through Strength”; a strong national defense
Mark Kirk says he does too, but when the political going got tough, he was one of a handful of Republicans who voted against the surge, which was one of the single biggest turning points in the Iraq War.

Patrick Hughes supports the 2nd Amendment and the individual right to bear arms
Mark Kirk gets an F rating from the NRA (http://www.nraila.org) and an F- from Gun Owners of America (http://gunowners.org/111hrat.htm). He does, however, get very high marks from groups advocating more gun control and bans.

Patrick Hughes is pro-life. He has always stood up for the rights of the unborn
Mark Kirk is adamantly pro-abortion. He even voted against the ban on the hideous practice of partial-birth abortion (http://clerk.house.gov/evs/2003/roll242.xml). He gets a 100% rating from both Planned Parenthood and NARAL. He is in the top tier of pro-abortion Republicans in Congress.

Patrick Hughes believes in a traditional definition of marriage
Mark Kirk voted against an amendment to define marriage as between one man and one woman. (http://clerk.house.gov/evs/2003/roll242.xml)

Patrick Hughes believes hate crime laws are divisive and unconstitutional
Mark Kirk joined left wing Democrats in sponsoring hate crime legislation.(http://www.opencongress.org/vote/2009/h/223)

This dude was on Dennis Miller yesterday.

Sounded like a 200% improvement on the RINO Kirk.

Dede Scozzafava

Funny how I haven't heard a peep about Dede since Scott Brown won.

Not to be picky, but 5,000 multiplied by $100 equals $500,000. I thought the stated goal was only $50,000.

You might have a future as a government accountant.
