Medina's position on the borders situation (from her website):
Failing to address the issue by developing specific and just interventions to insure the protection of Texas and limit the flagrant violation of our laws has created a volatile situation in our state. We desire cooperation from Mexico to resolve these problems, but Mexico should not shoulder all the blame. Our elected officials have been essentially ignoring our border for more than a decade.
Sounds pretty realistic to me. Do you know something else?
When? We all knew this was going to happen.
If you're going to use this standard, then all Republicans are RINOs then, because all the conservatives endorsed or campaigned for RINOs.
“I swear, if Jesus Christ Himself were running some people would be damning him for having a tax collector on staff.”
If Jesus Christ endorsed Satan for Arizona Senator a few eyebrows would be raised.
Why foes Sarah get a pass when Jesus doesn’t?
LOL. Still repeating this pathetic meme, eh?
That excerpt said nothing, last week I read the entire statement several times and still could not figure out what her position was, I finally decided that if she wasn’t pro immigration, then I would have learned that by reading the statement, rather than not be able to unravel it.
At this point, she seems to be pro immigration.
And if she isn't the conservative, the leader of my dreams, well... She is still wonderful...and I would wish her the very best and start looking elsewhere.
Look up her statements in op eds like “Latinos and the GOP” and an interview she did back in December. She is good at forming her position to the audience she is speaking to.
She actually scolded KBH for voting against Sotomayor because it would hurt the GOP with the Latino vote.
I guess with the way she twists and changes her position to the audience, she would be a good politician. (and I don’t say that as a compliment).
“Actually Palin was already becoming a conservative/republican star, when McCain chose her...”
Palins approval ratings in Alaska went from 90% to 54% in 2 years. I’m not sure what your definition of “rising” is based upon.
Must be a souffle.
Using your analogy, if Jesus endorsed Satan, wouldn’t you possibly consider that there is a reasoning for that endorsement beyond your understanding or would you just damn Jesus?
I am.
I suppose anything short of machine gun nests along the border could be interpreted as being pro immigration.
“Sarah is not an elected official right now though. She’s a private citizen.”
Only because she resigned her office and threw her supporters under the bus.
You definitely aren’t thinking of Medina then. In an interview with Peter Morrison in December she said that it wasn’t the State’s jurisdiction to secure the border. Perry is the only one of the three who actually tried to move the Texas National Guard (Operation Linebacker) to the border but was stopped by the feds with the exact same reasoning- it was out of their jurisdiction.
Of course, her website (ie marketing) says otherwise now. She is good at changing her message to fit the audience.
“Instead of complaining about Palin, they need to support McCains opposition.”
I see. So attacking McCains command and control is OFF LIMITS because it happens to be Palin?
Nice dichotomy.
“In Sarah Palin, conservatives have about as strong a voice and as hardened an advocate as theyre ever likely to have.’
Excpt for that McCain thingy...
” But now Im sure I am closer to the possibility of supporting her without having moved any closer to her than many of her so called fans...”
Now that she supports McCain you support her?
Cool...
LOL all you like, it won’t change her history of quitting when things got too hot.
Who be that?
