The FBI, alleging a plot to wiretap Democratic Sen. Mary Landrieu's office in downtown New Orleans, arrested four people Monday, including James O'Keefe, a conservative filmmaker whose undercover videos at ACORN field offices severely damaged the advocacy group's credibility.
FBI Special Agent Steven Rayes alleges that O'Keefe aided and abetted two others, Joseph Basel and Robert Flanagan, who dressed up as employees of a telephone company and attempted to interfere with the office's telephone system.
A fourth person, Stan Dai, was accused of aiding and abetting Basel and Flanagan. All four were charged with entering fedral property under false pretenses with the intent of committing a felony.
A witness from Landrieu's staff said O'Keefe was present in the office and claimed to be "waiting for someone to arrive."

It sounds to me like he was there for some other reason and when the bogus phone guys showed up he smelled a story and pushed the record button on his cell.
I'd like to see if he made an appointment or if he was asked to be there.
When you say O’Keefe “admitted it all,” I can’t help but wonder how you define “it all.”
I do not see O’Keefe admitting they intended to tap the phones.
I can't imagine what else they could have been doing dressed as telephone repairmen though.
A major career crushing moron moment for all involved. Plea to lesser charges, get probation, work at K-Mart until death.
second sentence of para 10 is VERY suspicious looking, and means exactly what? What did they (O’Keefe and Dai) “ADMIT”???
I hate it when there’s so many threads!
GRRR.
So now you are questioning the integrity of U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Louisiana Jim Letten?
Good luck with that theory as Letten has done more to clean-up Louisiana politics that anyone in the state’s history.
Just guessing but it sounds like O’Keefe was just getting his usual cell phone video and Landrieu’s office is making it out to be some kind of conspiracy to wiretap.
The fact that the son of a US attorney involved is interesting in itself.
He was THERE. There is no indication that he was dressed as anyone but himself. The only thing that seems to connect him to the “plumbers” is that he was prepared to record them on his phone. Maybe he spotted them as fakes before the staff did and thought, this is going to be good. Maybe it was just a coinkidink. Who nose?
It was in a federal building..
It’ll be interesting to see if the MSM reports this story.
After all, they didn’t report on O’Keefe during the ACORN expose. Will they report now?
Damn! Those tapes would have produced some juicy juicy audio i bet.... DAMN!!! SOOOOOO CLOSE!!!!
He's SUCH a good guy, why do we even need a trial? Wouldn't subjecting his claims to a finder of fact just be questioning the sparkling integrity of the great Jim whatshisname?
Since when does a person get into a Senator’s office, while just waiting on someone. This sounds weird to me...don’t they have a reception area.
It wouldn’t surprise me if this was a setup. I’m sure that obama would love to nail those two who did the ACORN exposes, or either one of them.
Possibly it’s a frameup as well. Let’s hope the FBI doesn’t succeed in pulling off a fast one.
It’s the front page story on the Politico. Nothing on Reuters yet. AP is reporting it as a NewsAlert. Nothing on AFP yet.
hang on
how do we know he was not invited to an interview and then set up.
How do we know what the hell is going on yet and how do we know this was a got ya moment or even that he might have done it but to hear some on here this far you would think that there is no need of a court and to think that some say on here the media cannot be trusted.
