Well, they admitted they entered the office under false pretenses, but they did not admit they were trying to tamper with the phone line.

I can't imagine what else they could have been doing dressed as telephone repairmen though.

If the charges are true, and I have considerable doubts, we have to remember that the dear Senator is an unindicated felon who threatened to murder President Bush during hurricane Katrina...

I’d say darling Mary has committed enough felonies for about a ten year prison sentence.

The only thing I can think of is that they were making a film about the Senator’s phone systems, with the fake phone repairmen there as props, in order to make a point about the Senator’s office never answering the phone when angry constituents call — ie the phones must be “broken”.

That’s the only halfway innocent explanation I can think of.
