The FBI, alleging a plot to wiretap Democratic Sen. Mary Landrieu's office in downtown New Orleans, arrested four people Monday, including James O'Keefe, a conservative filmmaker whose undercover videos at ACORN field offices severely damaged the advocacy group's credibility.
FBI Special Agent Steven Rayes alleges that O'Keefe aided and abetted two others, Joseph Basel and Robert Flanagan, who dressed up as employees of a telephone company and attempted to interfere with the office's telephone system.
A fourth person, Stan Dai, was accused of aiding and abetting Basel and Flanagan. All four were charged with entering fedral property under false pretenses with the intent of committing a felony.
A witness from Landrieu's staff said O'Keefe was present in the office and claimed to be "waiting for someone to arrive."

“It wouldnt surprise me if this was a setup.”
Of course it is a setup as it is so easy to take four innocent men, entice them to dress up as telephone repairmen, enter a US Senator’s office and attempt to work on the phone lines.
I’m sure things like this happen everyday.
Heck, for all we know they called him in and it was a set up. ACORN isn't too happy with the guy. If they can't beat him, they'll destroy him.
I'll wait until I hear his side of the story to make sure I don't knee jerk this incident. Something just doesn't sound right somewhere. He seems smarter than that.
Now if it had been 60 Minutes bugging a Republican, that would’ve got them another Emmy. But this guy’s a villian? Riiiiiiiight.
It's bad form for a fed to leave out words.
O'KEEFE and DAI have also admitted to federal agents that [they] worked with FLANAGAN and BASEL in the planning, coordination, and preparation of the operation.
That's where things like facts and details just get in the way of the seriousness of the charges.
“Not much of a set-up here as U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Louisiana Jim Letten is a Republican and was appointed to his job by President George W. Bush.
Letten has down a great job in Louisiana in taking down corrupt politicians of both parties”
We shall see.
Like I said before, if the people who arrested O’Keefe & company don’t have every “i” dotted and every “t” crossed they are going to get some serious career wrecking incoming rounds from the patriot side of the street.
The country is in no mood for Leftard frame ups.

You didn’t read the article. It never says he impersonated a phone company employee, so back down.
Indeed!
This is hard to believe....
Not at all.
Place the four on trial in Orleans Parish and we will see what a jury of their peers decides after hearing all of the evidence.
seems to me the real question is.....
is she the first they have attempted to “tap”??
Have they successfully tapped others???
I bet the Dems are scrambling and checking phone lines like crazy....
too bad the ones in the conference rooms where the “smokey back room” deals/threats were made weren’t bugged...or were they??? Hmmmmm....hahahhaha....
Smells fishy to me....
agreed
a witness was there
the feds were quick to be there
he knows the spot light is on him already and seems smart to not do this.
it does not take 4 people to tap a phone.
how about us all waiting to find out what happened, aren’t we always saying how we do not trust the MSM and the white house.
how about he went to do an interview as that what journo’s do and he was set up after the ACORN incident which the left said they would get him
to think cripple some have just jumped right on this and said idiot, o no etc, I’d hate them to be on my jury.
Will a jury of his peers all have FEMA debit cards to use in the court house lunchroom?
And that will be up to an Orleans Parish jury made up of the fine citizens of New Orleans.
You can’t add words. It doesn’t include the word “they”. This is an affadavit for prosecuting someone.
How dare you!?!
Why...such a trial questions the integrity of the great James Letten! Good luck with that theory.
