Chuck DeVore for California Senator
E-mail from candidate ^ | AKA Elena

Posted on 01/26/2010 11:17:14 AM PST by AKA Elena

Chuck DeVore is running in CA for Senator against the "Bully" Boxer. He is a great conservative. I have met him at a very small local tea party (he travels to as many as he can throughout the state).

Check him out. He needs 10,000 signatures to get on the ballot and is finally being recognized in the mainstream as the real conservative among those running. He is polling a mere 6 points behind the amoral, ignorant Barbara Boxer.

On the CA pages of FR you can read his latest e-mail that I received.

"Join the movement to get Chuck on the Ballot. Help us get 10,000 signatures by Thursday, February 25. Sign up to help Chuck here. Visit us online: http://chuckdevore.com/petition"

Ca Conservatives should begin the march to reclaim some more of CA with support for Chuck DeVore.

RSVP for my first ever tele-townhall
Sun, January 24, 2010 8:04:08 PM
From: Chuck DeVore -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I would like to thank you for the support you have lent my campaign with an invitation to participate in an exclusive DeVore for California tele-townhall next Sunday, January 31st at 8 P.M.
As we all witnessed last week with Scott Brown’s victory in Massachusetts, American voters are ready for common sense conservatives who will return to governing by the Constitutional principles upon which our country was built.
In this special tele-townhall, I will be taking questions from California voters like you, who demand fiscal responsibility and accountability in Washington.
Please RSVP via email to Craig Robison, your local DeVore Ambassador, to confirm your participation.
After receiving your RSVP, Craig will give you the information you need to participate and notify you of opportunities in your area to help put me on Republican primary ballot.
In your RSVP please include the following:
Name:
Phone number:
Email address:
Mailing address:
One question you would like to ask me in the tele-townhall.
We've made it super easy for you. Email Craig at craigrobison@gmail.com with your information.
I look forward to your participation on Sunday and in our further efforts to bounce Barbara Boxer out of the Senate.

Sincerely,
Chuck DeVore

Came across this e-mail from a day or so ago ... thought it might interest some of you. LOTS, I hope. This message was intended for: spinskip@sbcglobal.net You were added to the system October 21, 2009. For more information

I have seen a variation of that email and maybe someone can clarify this for me. I strongly support Chuck DeVore. His website mentions nothing about a petition. He's running in the Republican Primary and AFAIK does not need a petition to get on the ballot. Lastly, I sign petitions quite frequently and never have to provide the breadth of information that this requests and which I will not give out when I sign a petition. Is this a scam? What's up with this?

I believe it is because it is to be a legally SIGNED petition. The link that refers to petition does not work? I know other FReepers have gotten the form.

I do get frequent e-mails from him -- like every couple of days.

I'll look into it for you AA.

I don’t know specifically about California, but it is typical for primary candidates to get petitions to be put on the primary ballot. In Texas, you either get the requisite number of signatures, or you have to pay a large filing fee.

For these petitions, again in Texas (don’t know about CA), the signers have to be registered voters from the jurisdiction. So, they require LOTS of detailed and legible information, or the Secretary of State can reject them and nullify the petition, causing the candidate to be delisted.

What we used to do is wait outside polling stations for municipal elections - they are usually willing to sign regardless of who the candidate is, and that way we knew they were registered.

This might all be OBE, I’m not sure when the filing deadline is for California - that would be something to check.

The original post says the deadline is 25 February. 10K sigs?!?!?!? wow - I think the most required in Texas is only like 2,500 or 5,000 (way back when).

BTW, I do plan on donating to Chuck, but since I’m registered in Texas, I can’t sign his filing petition.

BTTT for Chuck DeVore...

I saw the GOP stats for California the other day. Apparently, Tom Campbell is ahead, followed by Carly Fiorina, then Chuck Devore. Is Campbell a conservative, or is he an establishment progressive?

Campbell is a little too rino-ish for me.

Campbell is a financial conservative and social liberal. He is also a career politician and/or professor. Because he would lose the social conservatives and because of his career path, he has little to no chance of defeating Boxer. By the same token, Chuck Devore also has little chance of defeating her given the resources available to him. Carly Fiorina, on the other hand, is both fiscally and socially conservative and, as a consequence of her personal resources and, frankly, her gender, can defeat Boxer in the fall. I have met her twice. She will be formidable against Boxer.

Elena, would you please get these links to your local CA chapter? There are appox two dozen known socialists in Congress there. I compiled a chockload of info on them here:
They should be mailed to each candidate running against them. Thank you!
