Senator Joe Lieberman told Eyewitness News 3 that it is possible that he could run as a good old-fashioned New England Republican in 2012. Lieberman says he was kicked out of the Democratic party in the 2006 primary after his stance on the Iraq War.
For the record, Joe Lieberman was right on Iraq. The surge was a huge success and today Iraq is continuing to take steps on its path towards democracy
no thanks to the cut-and-run democrats and the state-run media who did everything they could to impede success in this front against Al-Qaeda and radical Islam.

Good points. In this particular case—as long as there’s not much chance of any kind of Republican getting his seat, it would be useful to have him. Numbers matter, as you say, and he’s going to vote how he’s going to vote on domestic matters no matter what, but he would be useful on procedure. This being the case only if there’s no shot of getting a Republican elected to his seat, which there isn’t.
Si! :^)
Don’t even let him into the caucus. He’ll just drag it left.
Don’t bother Joe.
Better yet, get all the northeast liberals -— Giuliani, Brown and Romney -— to join you in the liberal Democrat party. That would make more sense.
Joe really needs to be talked down from his tree.
Having voted ‘Yes’ on ObamaCare, don’t even think about it.
I like Joe personally but we don’t need any more RINO’s Thank You.
He just said on Fox the other day that he was an independent ,but more of a Democrat.
No RINOs! Better to have a Dem in the seat than a RINO undermining our arguments and betraying us at the worst possible times.
No Joe. We are trying to get rid of your “moderate” sorts currently. We don’t want, or need your type of “moderate” redefining “Conservatism” thank you.
What do I mean!? People think of “Republicanism” as “Conservatism” thanks to the Socialist-Democrats, and the Leftist Media whom have been instrumental in creating the illusion.
“Republican” today is far from an appropriate association of “Conservatism”, but as far apart as the two are, the seemingly simple task of removing the Leftist RINO’s from the party would bring the two much closer to alignment.
It’s also possible that Joe Lieberman will be thrown out of the Senate.
Hey, Joe—before you could run as a “moderate” Republican, you would have to move from the leftwing to the middle. It appears to me, based upon your record, that would be a pretty big move for you to make. I’m not looking for it to happen. Stay an Independent or, better yet, join Juan McLame at an old folks game and enjoy some shuffleboard.
Just retire, Joe.
You’ve F’d us up enough in your career.
Joe like Bayh needs to put his vote where his mouth is!
He COULD be the 51st vote for a GOP Majority leader.
A real moderate democrat wouldnt vote for this healthcare bill.
Please you may run as a moderate republican?
Vote no on government takeover of HC and Energy industry and I’ll take you word if not....... just go away!!
He said New England Republican not moderate Republican.
No Republican senators voted for the Obama DeathCare Joe. You are no moderate Republican and should continue to run as an Independent.
