I’d like to see him be a really good one-term President too, but I’ll be satisfied as long as the one-term part is right.

How about the only president in history worse than Jimmy Carter?

I don’t think he truly wants a second term anyway, other than the sting of not being reelected being tough on his massive ego. Being President is too hard. He’d rather draw that nice comfortable lifetime pension, give paid speeches to people who want to see him, and vacation a lot.

"You know, there is a tendency in Washington to believe our job description, of elected officials, is to get reelected. That's not our job description," Obama said. "Our job description is to solve problems and to help people."Well... when is he going to start with the solving and helping?

He’s lying (again).
He just said that HE will be the one that keeps election 2010 from being like the ‘94 blow-out.

"I'd rather be a really good one-term president than a mediocre two-term president," he told ABC's "World News" anchor Diane Sawyer in an exclusive interview today. Um, maybe you should aim for one-term president and see what happens from there.
Over-reaching is considered tacky.

This only indicates that his handlers have told him to be more humble publically. Privately he is still a megalomaniac.
This is just one of the subtle changes we will see in his speech and mannerisms since the Massachusetts election.
