(Newser) Film director cum pot-stirring historian Oliver Stone has blasted the official version of JFK's assassination as a "national fairy tale." To this day, "many key Americans in power are in total denial about this story," Stone told a group of students in Thailand.
"They don't want to know about the possibility that he was killed by someone other than Lee Harvey Oswald."
Stone's film JFK suggested a massive conspiracy linked to the CIA was behind the president's murder.
The director was in Bangkok on a series of talks funded by the Vienna-based International Peace Foundation.
We need to get more Hollywood directors involved in solving crime! What a wonderful untapped resource of brains and forensic know-how.
Just imagine, we could find Jimmy Hoffa and Judge Crater, and we’d know once and for all if Lizzie Borden really did it!
Sheesh....
I have always thought that if it could be proven that the shot had been made, that would have skewed the probabilities highly in the direction of LHO.
I know there have been a lot of staged re-enactments, but I don’t know if anyone has actually made that shot at a moving target from the same hieghth and distance.
Anybody know?
If not, I would rather believe Joe Pesci that its all just “fun and games, fun and games.”
Who photoshoped the joint from between his fingers?
I knew about Tampa on 11/18, what can you tell us about the Chicago 11/2 plan? tia
does he really have a Groucho moustache?
A communist killed President Kennedy because he wasn’t going to go along with party lines.
Check out the speech JFK didn’t get to deliver in Dallas: http://smu.edu/smunews/jfk/speechtext.asp
“In this administration also it has been necessary at times to issue specific warnings — warnings that we could not stand by and watch the Communists conquer Laos by force, or intervene in the Congo, or swallow West Berlin, or maintain offensive missiles on Cuba. But while our goals were at least temporarily obtained in these and other instances, our successful defense of freedom was due not to the words we used, but to the strength we stood ready to use on behalf of the principles we stand ready to defend.”
Nah, Evertbody knows it was the guy who popped his head out of the sewer manhole.
This was the one right thing this guy did...
wrong...but that’s the BS they want you to believe...
And these are the same people who called Pat Robertson for saying that maybe a pact with satan has brought Haiti hundreds of years of bad fortune (Obama suggested something similar in his White House statement, he said that the people had been foresaken).
When the BDS sufferers are finally denounced by the MSM, I'll pay attention to what they say about people who they claim are on the Right.
I still think it was Jackie. And the lying, cheating horndog deserved it, too.
Precisely. And Oswald's motive was to impress Ollie's hero, Fidel.
Is that the one where Oswald shoots JFK with Arlen Specter's magic bullet? That's always been a crowd favorite.
Oliver Stone has been reduced to giving speeches to students in Thailand? While I always doubted that Lee Harvey Oswald was the sole assassin, the CIA really had no reason that I ever discerned to assassinate Kennedy. Had they wanted to bring him down, a few photos of JFK and Angie Dickinson romping in the White House pool would have done the trick.
Shooting JFK isn't the problem, It's straight in and through, nicking the spinal column on the way.
If you want to "debunk the nagic bullet", you have to come up with an alternative theory on how Governor Connolly's wounds were caused.
I'm not interested in the magic bullet theory, I merely said it has always been the crowd favorite, or put another way, the most popular explanation.
It's the head shot, the kill shot, that has always interested me.
Nothing magic about it. Extensive tests have replicated the exact characteristics of the bullet, which was deformed on its tip, not “pristine” as the propagandists describe it, and the path the round would take when passing through fleshy parts of the body without hitting bone till it shattered Connelly’s wrist, at a reduced velocity due to striking JFK first. Furthermore, the oblong wound in Connelly’s back is consistent with it tumbling after striking something, or in this case, someone else, first.
Correct, as a matter of fact, it was originally referred to as the "single bullet theory" to fit with the three-shot scenario. It was skeptics who called it "magic" at the time of the Warren Commission and afterward to this day. It's now part of our language and is commonly used by non-skeptics and skeptics alike.
But as I said before, I'm not interested in the theory. As far as I'm concerned it's possible, so therefore the most likely explanation for what that one bullet did.
