Smuggled and bootlegged, it has been the cause of transatlantic tensions for more than two decades. But after 21 years in exile, the haggis is to be allowed back into the United States.
The "great chieftan o' the puddin-race" was one of earliest casualties of the BSE crisis of the 1980s-90s, banned on health grounds by the US authorities in 1989 because they feared its main ingredient ‑ minced sheep offal ‑ could prove lethal.

They actually had to ban the stuff and people really smuggled it into the country?
I can understand eating everything you had to when it was a matter of not starving to death but really now....
What is wrong with people?

Wasn’t a sale, it was for winning one of the cartion pools.
And the fact that we had none this year because it never rained.

Do they use dipping sauces for haggis? Chocolate? Taco? Ranch? They use sheep dip, of course.

The ox bung will have been thoroughly cleaned and salted so rinse it inside and out with clear water, pat dry with a kitchen towel and lay out on a tray. There is no reason for this except to allow you a smutty smirk at the sight of a two foot rubbery condom.

If I had to wear a kilt in the middle of winter, I
might eat the stuff just for the shrinkage factor alone.
I could maybe see it smoked then sliced and fried...alot.

Two all Haggis patties, special sauce on a sesame seed
bun.
I’d get one but their Haggis patties are so thin...
I’d rather go get flame broiled at Haggis King.
