Ride the tide with compromise candidates.

As I posted on another thread, I understand her impulse to help McCain. What she is not considering adequately is that this is not about her and McCain, it is about the United States. Her action is like a doctor referring a patient to an incompetent older specialist because the specialist wrote a recommendation for the doctor to get into law school.

Palin is the doctor, McCain is the specialist and, sadly, we are the patient.

This is irresponsible back-scratching that some might describe as corruption, in the sense that she is recommending the person who she must know is not the best person for the job out of an agenda that does not put the interests of the nation first.

Sad.

That's it in a nutshell. It is putting personal issues before the needs of the country.

Let's see, maybe is my lack of Logic. Don't worry I still love Sarah dearly and I always will, still, her actions have me really scratching my head... so I as asking myself...

--------------------------------------------------

(2) + (2) = 4... right?

(If McLAME is everything we detest in a politician and the GOP establishment)

+

(and Sarah is everthing we love about the new politician representing the Anti-establisment, but she was ready to put her reputation and influence on the line, to re-elect this weasel...)

=

(WHO IS SARAH PALIN REALLY?)

Right. And that would be politics as usual. Unfortunately, JD Hayworth has a bit of politics as usual too. It is in his and his wife’s past, and we can hope that he’s reflected and changed.

I’ve made no clear conclusions about JD, but he does seem to have a few past conflicts of interest on his TEAM PAC side where his wife made something like $102K of the $538K the PAC took in over 5 years, and some issues related to blocking taxation of Indian tribes connected to Abramoff (see the second link):

I’ve made no conclusions about all this, but it’s good to know some of what they opposition will bring up with JD. I sure that anyone running for office with any record or public life at all has some conflicts of interest.

And let’s not get started on the typical RAT. The only reason I bring up these past issues with JD is that we Conservatives really do have higher standards than RATS...
