“Commonsense” is everybody’s buzzword.

****

It may be, but that doesn’t mean that we should cede it to the dems. If it resonates, we should use it in every answer to every political challenging question.

We have let the leftists own the language for too long.

Did JD lose his House seat, or did he voluntarily quit? If he lost to a challenger in his own district, how does he expect to win a state?

maica, you are the first person who has asked the question I am myself wondering about. It seems to me that his involvement with Abramhoff and the questions about his wife being paid by his PAC would be fodder for a democrat opponent.

During his last election (which he lost) the Arizona Republic withdrew its endorsement and several GOP people supported his opponent.

I dislike McCain as much as anyone, but I don't think Hayworth can win a state-wide election. Of course, I am not an expert in Arizona politics but I wonder if Palin (whose main thrust has always been getting rid of corruption) is supporting McCain because of some of Hayworth's questionable dealings.

At any rate, I would rather have McCain in that seat than a democrat. Right now, every vote in the Senate is needed.

Absolutely, FR/the New Media strikes again!!......

Just watched Valeries Jarett's appearance with David Gregory.(she looks like someone dipped her in a huge bowl of pancake makeup and then put a bowl over her head for a haircut)

Gregory has and is learning from Stephy Stuffy to try and get out ahead of all the questions we might ask of the lefts spinning like a top interviews.

He did so today and asked her several tough ones which of course were unanswerable like:

How when health care is only # 4 on the nations to do list with 12% of the populace wanting it solved and jobs are # 1 with 38% do they insist on ramming it down our throats. No salient answer for that one.

Her appearance can nicely be summed up by the following: Basically Valerie Jarrett's message is:

"We are socialists from the far left.

This country is now ruled by us and we will solve all problems with a govt. solution only or they won't be solved.

More govt. bail outs, more unions, more govt. bashing of private enterprise especially corps. that happen to do well, and first and foremost more govt. control over the individual.

As Socialists/Marxists we learned nothing from Mass.,VA. or NJ except for the fact that our time is running out and we will be getting more and more desperate.

So don't get in our way while we are still in power."

Basically that is the message from the left to us.

The prez is going to fight hard...

I found it fascinating watching the campaign evolve in Massachusetts.

Scott Brown's message was "Me against the Machine".

By the end of the campaign was evident the Machine was fighting back. But not against Brown. It became:

"The Machine against The People."

Not exactly a winning formula. But they seem deadset on repeating it nationwide.

Gregory threw every single DNC/media talking point against McConnell he could fit in.

McConnell handled it pretty well, I would say.

Must of got that from hanging out with his buddy;

An example, Obama says ‘ahhhhh’ so many times in what should be normal speaking, it’s hard to follow, and just as hard to read or get any understanding.
From;

Obama “The key purpose is to ahhhhh, ahhhhh, make sure we had a chance to talk to ahhhhh, some of the commanding officers as well as the Troops here ahhhhhh, to get a sense from them about ahhhhh, how we are approaching a consolidating some of the reduction in violence to ahhhhh, this here. ahhhhh, comparing note about what that means in Iraq and what that means in Afghanistan.”

If that is true then he just violated his oath of office, but I digress, like it is the first time.

All Massachusetts Freepers !!! Please stand and identify yourselves. Your 2nd Boston Tea Party has probably saved the nation. We are in your debt.

Hear hear hear!

To quote Winston Churchill:

Now this is not the end. It is not even the beginning of the end. but it is, perhaps, the end of the beginning

Cornyn on FOX - the uncertainty of this administration is killing jobs. Talking about upcoming races - our side is energized, it has helped get more people interested in running.

On bringing back David Plouffe (sp?) - the dem’s don’t realize the unpopularity of their policies. It’s not just a matter of refocussing the messge, people don’t like the policies.

On Tea Party movement - People want their country back, don’t want this spending/bills rammed down their throat. One way Rep. have listened to the Tea Party movment is there will be more competitive primaries coming up for the people to choose a good candidate.

I would rather have McCain in that seat than a democrat.

I'd rather have you in that seat, and McCain in a retirement home in New Zealand.

Axlerod says no surprise Zeros poll numbers are down, He told Obama a year ago they would be down due to economy. So....David and Obama knew their stimulus plan would not work?

Why, if ordinary Americans can come up with these sorts of brilliant questions to ask in response to the political machine's spin, can our supposedly enlighten, "brilliant" "journalists" not come up with them?

Good question, but I don’t think he’s that cunning. He probably asked her because he knows he’s in trouble.

Palin is loyal to McCain, and it’s difficut to say no to a direct request.

She says otherwise; that she wants to help him. I’m dissapointed about that. There’s no other way to sugar coat it. I think that hurts her with Conservatives. She’s still my #1 choice for 2012, though.

In any case, her opponents and the media will spend time second guessing and criticizing this decision, no doubt.
