Airliner forced to land after colliding with bird

This happened at Dulles Airport (in Northern Virginia). The plane hit a LARGE BIRD on takeoff. The pilot noticed it and returned to the airport.

What I thought simply amazing was that there had a been a crew sent out to collect the remains of the LARGE BIRD and yet, after all that, the airline personnel continued to try to figure out what happened.

Yup, Big Bird Bit It ~ now how you going to 'splain that to the kiddies.

Interesting for me.... the same day last year that US Air Capt. Sully’s flight went down I flew out of Newark, NJ.
Yesterday with the bird strike I also flew out of Washington Dulles. Ain’t no feathery critter gonna take me down, eheheheheh! That includes Queen Birdbrain Nanners in DC as well.
