Hundreds of thousands of people are gathered in the nation's capital today to mark the anniversary of Roe v. Wade and protest abortion in the annual March for Life. Gathering from all over the country, protesters of all ages first heard from prominent pro-life, political and religious leaders before beginning the march.
Congressman Chris Smith (R-N.J.) was among the politicians who addressed the crowd on Friday, saying, Thank you one and all for being an important part of the greatest human rights struggle on earth the right to life movement. By the grace of God, we stand behind, with and unabashedly for both victims of abortion women and children.

According to EWTN, 300,000 demonstrators are estimated to be taking part in the March for Life.
Just one day before the March for Life in Washington D.C., the results of a new survey put out by the Knights of Columbus and Marist College showed that the number of Americans who say they are pro-life is continuing to grow. Members of the Millennial generation (18-29 year-olds) say abortion is morally wrong at a rate of 58 percent.

Over 300,000 prolifers, but another blackout on MSM. Next year we need to watch EWTN, and I hope it gets great tv ratings. Maybe that will encourage other networks to show the march, too.
BUMP
we will take back the msm as well .. it will just take longer.
If this was 25 illegals demanding “immigration reform” it would be all over the news.
Or a hundred demonstrators trying to save a tree.
Maybe if they have an image of Bush or Palin burning in effigy....
LMSM doesn’t want us to know how many people are prolife activists, and that more and more people are becoming prolife, including our youth:

The survey, which was conducted between December 2009 and January 2010, asked if abortion was morally wrong. Fifty-six percent of Americans said they thought that abortion was indeed morally wrong.
In addition to showing that more Americans are becoming pro-life, the results showed that the upcoming generations are more pro-life than those nearing retirement. “

If 300 thousand showed up support Obamacare, you bet we would hear about it!
What a lamestream media.

Or even 300.
“One of the most touching moments came when Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-Wash.) took the stage with her two-year-old son.
Im the proud mother of my two-year-old son, who happens to have Down syndrome, McMorris Rodgers said, adding that she is heartbroken by the fact that 90 percent of babies diagnosed with the genetic disorder in utero are aborted.
We can show them a better way, she said. A way that protects life.
Thanks for coming today, McMorris Rodgers said. You are standing up for your children. You are standing up for my son, Cole Rodgers. Youre standing up for the future of America.’

Men and women who are part of the Silent No More Campaign shared stories about how abortion has hurt them. They carried signs that said “I regret my abortion.” Others carried signs mourning the loss of fatherhood from abortion. (CNSNews.com/Penny Starr)”

God Bless all of the marchers and our own workerbee was one of them.
You can read workerbee's reports starting HERE !!!!
Ken Blackwell spoke at the Georgia march for life near the state capitol yesterday. I looked for a news account of the event, but not a word was posted on any local news site, including (of course) the soon-to-be-defunct Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
The fact that a majority of Americans now self-idetify as pro-life is indeed wonderful news!
At least it was on C-SPAN2 in the evening twice. A lot of excellent speakers, especially the Orthodox rabbi (Yehuda Levin) and the pastor from an AME church in Frederick, MD (Luke Robinson?). Terry Schiavo’s brother spoke.
Down syndrome is not a genetic disorder. The media keeps calling it genetic, causing people to worry unnecessarily that it runs in their family.
“it was on C-SPAN2 in the evening twice.”
Please tell your friends to watch C-SPAN or EWTN next year. If enough of us do that, it will show up in the tv ratings, and the industry will know what we want.
Well, Down Syndrome IS actually “genetic”. It happens when the “Genes” of a person, contains extra “genetic material”...an extra chromasome.
It is correct to call it genetic.

"Down syndrome is a chromosomal disorder"
It is not a genetic syndrome. It is caused when an ovum separates unevenly, usually because it has been around for too long. There is a very rare genetic type, presumably originally caused when a Down syndrome person has a child and that child then has only half his or her cells with the extra chromosome, and then that child has a child, and so on, with the faulty reproductive cells getting more and more "watered down" through the generations.
At least one freeper became worried that Down syndrome ran in his family when a relative had a Down syndrome child. This is not something to make foolish errors about, as it can cause mental suffering and may even persuade someone unnecessarily not to have a child. There is a test for the genetic variety if one wants to make sure of that--as I said, very rare.
How common is Down syndrome?"Down syndrome is one of the most common genetic birth defects. It affects about 1 in 800 (about 3,400) babies a year in the United States (1). According to the National Down Syndrome Society, there are more than 400,000 individuals with Down syndrome in the United States"
OK, so the March of Dimes web writer made a mistake. Leave it, you don’t know what you’re talking about.
