Since you are blocking posting privileges for our readers we are citing you for copyright violation.
One of your posters has re-published an original article in its entirety. This is stealing intellectual property from a non-profit organization. Either pull it down or hear from the lawyers.
You have 24 hours and you are now obligated to prove that it was removed. If you do not respond we will commence with legal action.

The New Media Journal is a division of BasicsProject.org, a non-partisan, non-profit 501(c)(3) research and education initiative whose mission is the reintroduction of the American citizenry to our constitutional ideology and to educate the public on critical issues facing our nation, chiefly, the threats of radical Islam and the advancing American Fifth Column.

Does this mean Frank Salvato works for free? Seems like someone with such ideals and convictions as mentioned in the byline would want to use every means possible to spread the word from their site, unless someone was earning a living from it.
That will be easy to do since I have never heard of them.
Jim Thompson will not be pleased!................
Never heard of them. Now I don’t care to. Some blog, the email is even poorly written.
I say just put them on the list and don’t give them this free publicity.
Thompson! JIM THOMPSON!!!
Shame it seems to be run by drooling litigious morons.
On their website they basically claim they can post whatever they want under fair use.
Yeah, agreed, we should respect property rights, but the guy didn’t need to threaten a natural ally (FR)!

ROFL. “Fair use for me but not for thee!”.
These guys REALLY are morons.
Re: “Until now I was blissfuly ignorant of their existance. lol”

Me too, never heard of them —
I am curious.
How do you know that a particular poster is one of their readers in order to block her?
Why are you blocking them? Are they offensive?
I’ve picked up tons of new sites to visit thanks to Free Republic. I guess this one will remain in obscurity to me forever now. Good riddance.
Thanks for the list ... no wonder most of those sites are going under when they don’t get free advertizing ... it’s been a while since I posted anything - always get beat out by faster (speed dialing posters - LOL) anyway ...
It’s easier to understand if you don’t try to make sense out of it...

Well, the funny thing is our moderators noticed they were violating the copyrights of publishers who had asked us to restrict our posters to excerpts only. They were posting full text on their site, claiming fair use, and then posting an excerpt on FR with a link back to their blog site. Our moderators asked them to link to the original source if they were going to do that, and they refused. Now we get threats. Effem.
Never heard of them.
Maybe if we all add “Salvato” to our taglines for a day or two, he’ll grow weary of googling himself (what’s the internet term for that, anyway?).
