Ayla Brown singing the National Anthem at the Boston Pops.
Gee whiz, it was hardly and embarassment to anyone.
“Girls as sharp as her are something rare.”
Perfect pitch is EXTREMELY rare.
Yes it is rare. One is born with it.
Knowing what a G, B, F sharp, or B flat has nothing to do with it.
One can hear a tune and then sing it on key. When I talk about key I mean pitch and not musical keys after their names (not pitch). I would hope you would know that.
There was a singer with perfect pitch, that used to do voiceovers for all the great stars that couldn't sing a note. No one ever heard of her because Perfect Pitch does not a singer make, they have to have a unique sound. Willie Nelson, Frank Sinatra..........
That was funny!
How old is she?
I have an available son........
lol
She sings very well indeed. The Star Spangled Banner isn’t easy to sing, either. The ending was a little bit off, but she was excellent on the quieter sweet notes.
I can understand.
Thank you.
Was she the Bikini Girl on American Idol? I didn’t like hear that much
Thank you for that. That’s true.
She would be excellent in a church choir.
Boy your life musy suck, you know being perfect and all.
NO! NEVER! Miss Brown would never do that.
That was some silly slutty dame without a brain in her head.
Ayla is a law student.
GEESH! You people!
Just a few weeks ago more people knew Scott Brown’s daughter Ayla than knew Scott Brown, but it’s probably true that most people didn’t know Ayla. She was on American Idol though, which I hear is a popular TV show.
Yes, I heard that too.
She isn’t exactly a Julliard graduate.
Many musicians have quite good relative pitch, a skill which can be learned. With practice, it is possible to listen to a single known pitch once (from a pitch pipe or a tuning fork) and then have stable, reliable pitch identification by comparing the notes heard to the stored memory of the tonic pitch. Unlike absolute pitch, this skill is dependent on a recently perceived tonal center.
You say you would hope I know this. I do. You might want to get your definitions straight.
No, she was a regular contestant, got on the big stage, she was voted on, that kind of thing. She didn’t win or anything, or place particularly high, but she did get to the level where people vote.
I have to agree with that as well. But I have a couple of questions for Ye of Perfect Pitch:
What kind of music do you like?
Does having perfect pitch make YOU a good singer? (I'm betting it doesn't).
What is the pitch (frequency) of this: Hmmmmmmm.
“What kind of music do you like?”
Classical.
“Does having perfect pitch make YOU a good singer? (I’m betting it doesn’t).”
Absolutly not as I said before. I said perfect pitch does not make a singer or a violin player.
“What is the pitch (frequency) of this: Hmmmmmmm.”
F-.

That’ll give you an idea of the year she was on, etc.
