Ayla Brown singing the National Anthem at the Boston Pops.
My prediction for the script on SNL tomorrow night. It will involve Scott Brown and he will be naked. The question is who on SNL will play him? Next weeks show will involve spoofing the my daughters are available joke.
Not guilty...
I knew this was coming.
Perfect pitch does not mean one can sing or play the violin.
It just means one can hear tone pitches better than most folks.
As an example: Regretfully, Susan Boyle is having some emotional problems, but she has perfect pitch and can also sing.
I don't agree. I've listened to it several times and I don't see her missing pitch at all. How about pointing out a few examples of where you hear it and I'll listen a little closer.
No but I bet they know the Internationale.
Wow, thanks for the link.
Ping.
“How about pointing out a few examples...”
It is all over the page from begining to end.
But then, you don’t have perfect pitch, which I am glad because you can enjoy her. I can’t.
Very good but I’m not sure why her voice coach didn’t train her to just hit the notes and not lead up to them.
It wasn’t excellent, but it was better than me!
I’m impressed, beautiful.
Pretty daughters- wife; not very.
No, it means I can say to you, "Sing me a G#." Or, "Sing me an E natural." And you can do it right on the beans without hesitation or any kind of hint.
Perfect pitch and a highly trained sense of relative pitch are two entirely different things. Perfect pitch is EXTREMELY rare.
>>She doesnt have perfect pitch.<<
In college I roomed with a music major with perfect pitch and had to put up with her occasional remarks that someone was singing “Happy Birthday” in the wrong key or something. Mostly she was a lovely girl but sometimes she could really be a killjoy.
As someone with only run-of-the-mill “good” pitch, I think Ayla sounds terrific.
I’m wondering if anyone knows whether she was named after the female protagonist of novelist Jean M. Auel’s “Earth’s Children” series? The best known of these may be “The Clan of the Cave Bear”, which was made into a (not terrible good) movie with Daryl Hannah playing the role of Ayla.
LOL!!!
“It wasnt excellent, but it was better than me!”
Better than me too. But please, not so public. Maybe in church or something.
LOL. Good answer.
But, have you considered the alternative view. I'm reminded of that old joke about a man and woman who went to see their son march in a military parade. Says the mom to the dad: "Look, everyone's out of step but our Johnny". So you (of perfect pitch) need to make sure you're not FR's "Musical Johnny".
OK, so then how do you know she doesn't have perfect pitch?
“Thats the good news. Now,the MSM has another family to try to destroy like the Palins.”
Wonder how long it will take Letterman will start cracking creepy lame jokes about the Brown daughters...
They know “ Ho God of All Creation” the Kenyan national anthem.
