What the heck? That money comes from the taxpayers anyway.

Why doesn’t he donate his Nobel Prize money? That was a million dollars, right?

Well, so what? I mean, I gave $50 for relief in Haiti, but just spent over $1,000 for a week’s vacation. Does that make me a bad person or something? Seems like a fairly generous donation to me.

What did they do with the Nobel Peace prize money? What was that 1.2M?

Democrats are notorious for feeble charitable donations- tas deductible or not.

Gore got that spotlighted when he ws in office with Clinton.

BTW- it is traditional for Presidents to release their income tax returns.

Any bets that The One breaks that tradition?

Or is it law?

I believe in 2009, 0bama made about $1-3m

$15,000 is next to nothing within such incomes (which stretch further when you realize they don’t pay for their own expenses)

The $15,000 is legit and from the Obama paycheck. He won’t dare play games with this because his tax return will be published

I seriously doubt that the $40,000 rent for the Obama Hawaii vacation house will be paid by them. This will be paid by US taxpayers or at worst the Democrats will raise money for it

Bottom line is the $15,000 for Haitian relief is in line with generous giving and beyond criticism. IMHO

What a turd. Keep shining Barry, keep shining. Btw how does it feel when the bluest of blue states (home to the Kennedy’s for God’s sake) says: “FUBO”?

Sorry, I don’t fault the guy.

$15K is pretty generous no matter how much you make.

He’s set for life via speaking fees.

The point is, it’s not much to give out of abundance presently owned, and guaranteed down the road.

It’s paltry for him, but it betrays how poor he really is after “20 years” in Jeremiah Wright’s “church”.

“The President and First Lady have been inspired by the way that millions of Americans have responded with tremendous generosity to the Haiti crisis – even in these tough economic times,” White House spokesman Josh Earnest says, “So, today, they sent their own check for $15,000 to the Clinton-Bush Haiti Fund to support the ongoing relief efforts in that country.”

"As of today the fund has received more than 126,000 contributions for relief and recovery efforts."

Why are people donating? I understand that it's from the heart and helping out in times of emergency. But, the Haitians will be brought over here and we will be paying for them anyway. So it's like giving double...as if we can afford it.

The obamas could have given more. Considering how much they make, $7,500 per adult is not much.

They should have written the check to the Bush political fund.

Would have been a nice time to roll out the Nobel Peace Prize dollars... he hasn’t donated them yet has he?

He got $1.2 MILLION for his fake Peace Prize.
Which he said would be donated to charity.

This is actually really insulting.
He admitted he didn’t deserve the Prize.

But then the majority in Haiti ARE Christians

“Be careful not to do your ‘acts of righteousness’ before men, to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven. “So when you give to the needy, do not announce it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honored by men. I tell you the truth, they have received their reward in full. But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.

Matthew 6:1-4

Seems like genuine generosity to me. Who’s business is it that they spent more on their vacation than they donated in aide to Haiti?

I seem to remember hearing something about “the right hand not letting the left hand know about what it was doing. Fifteen thousand isn't chump change to me but to people like the Obama’s it is. Better not to have mentioned this generous (not!) donation from people who could have given much, much more.
