The super-sized, take-out-a-second-mortgage-to-pay-for-it bushel basket of movie popcorn just might not be big enough. War is breaking out among liberals, and the entertainment value might make Avatar look like a test signal.
Just make yourself comfortable, sit back, and watch Chris Matthews and Howard Dean go after each other on this evening's Hardball. Dean was floating the absurd argument that by choosing Scott Brown over Martha Coakley, voters were sending a secret coded message that they really wanted a health care bill . . . more liberal than the current Obamacare version.
Matthews calls Dean out on his lack of logic, and the pair wind up trading accusations of craziness.

I’m sure there was some of that, but probably not enough to change the result.
It’s 2!...2!...2 mints in 1!!
Didn’t vote for the candidate left of 0bama instead voting for Scott Brown to send a message?
Dean cannot hide that salami.
Wow. Matthews is ready to face the truth but Dean is still addicted to spinning it to the point of dizziness. The “Swimmers Seat” is gone. It is huge; 40+ years of D domination of senate seats is now gone. Turn, pivot, go the other way....what message is unclear? Dean is a highly educated fool.
I have to give this one to Mathews. At least he could face up to the fact that people who did not want obamascare would vote for Brown and liberals would vote for Croakley. Dean just did not want to admit that the election meant more people did not want obamascare.
It was hilarious when Mathews asked him who he would have voted for. Croakley, of course. So, you wouldn’t be sending any secret messages but all the other Brown voters were? Un-be-frick-en-lieve-able!
Max, if you watched that clip and thought that hoho made sense, call dr. dean and get a lobotomy.
hoho said he had poll numbers, but nothing he said made any sense.
Bookmark the clip, go to bed, get sober, watch it tomorrow.
If you stand by your post, call dr. dean.
Agree .......he’s a nut job from hell !
Dean is truly a lunatic. Was this the anniversary of his “I have a scream” rant in Iowa also?
Pinin’ for the fjords.
Priceless.
All you Dumocrats, please don’t listen to Matthews, go ahead and drink Dean’s Kool-Aid.
Yes. We shouldn’t fall into the same trap that caught the liberals. Dubya’s approval numbers were low because both left and right saw him problematic but for different, opposite reasons. Similarly, 0bama’s numbers are now low because people on the left and the right hate him (or his policies) but also for different reasons. The right see him too leftist, while the left see him too conservative—or at least too easily caved in to ‘conservative demands’.
the funniest thing about this whole scenario is that back prior to the Dean Scream, Chrissy was supporting him for president!
Maybe the should both be sent to a Saudi Arabia for art therapy.
LOL. Chrissy was a Howard Dean supporter? LOL.
I honestly didn’t know that.
my one and only conversation with him was when my oldest daughter was a sophomore in the same HS class as his daughter and it was about the 2000 election and yeah, he admitted was a deaniac at that point. so to see those two accusing each other of being on the CRAZY TRAIN is just too priceless.
I am so glad that the Dems have Dean on their side...
Did you see the segment just below that one? !!!
Olbermann is saying that driving a pickup truck indicates someone is racist! It’s freaking unbelievable!
It’s evident from this that Howard Dean is crazy as a bedbug and it was actually pretty amazing to see Chris Matthews not allow him to get away with the complete nonsense Dean was advocating. Most interviewers just let Dean get away with his utter craziness, which I think is because they just want to get him off the air as quick as possible. It was completely refreshing to see an interviewer hammer Dean until he finally just shut up. Too bad it had to be Chris Matthews, though maybe it takes someone as cracked as Chris to crack Howard Dean.
I saw this today and saved it for my husband to watch. Very funny. Chris actually sounded more coherent than Dean.
That’s saying a lot because Chris is usually a blithering idiot.
