know the night is young, but I'm getting a lot of e-mails whose tone is less that of a Senate election night and more like Eastern Europe's "velvet revolutions" 20 years ago. Example:
I'm a long time resident of Massachusetts and specifically the Back Bay. In other words, the heart of darkness for a conservative... I don't think the majority understand the magnitude of what is happening. Despite the elegant and politically deadly comeback by Brown during the debate, this is indeed the Kennedy seat we are talking about. Many people my age, and I am older than I care to admit, have never lived in a time when a Kennedy has not occupied this seat and given the power of the Kennedys and the Democratic machine, we never thought we would...
This is change we can believe in.Yes We Did!
I don't want to overstate the European comparison - although the Curt Schilling gaffe could be said to be the equivalent of the Ceausescu balcony moment, and, if the night goes badly, Massachusetts Dems will be lining Ms Coakley up for the same fate, at least metaphorically.

I keep picturing the munchkins in “The Wizard of Oz” after the wicked witch of the west is killed by Dorothy’s house as how the Mass. voters must feel to see no more kennedys in this seat.

Great minds think alike. I’ve been thinking that all day. Humming the wicked witch is dead in my head.

Rachel Maddow looks like someone dropped a house on her sister!
Conan! What is good in life:
To defeat the liberals
To see them driven before you
And to hear the lamentation of the MSM!

Sadly there are still a few places like Cambridge that went for Coakley with about 85% of the vote.
What’s wrong with these people? Do they live in a parallel universe?
