Ice skating. I just slipped on ice and have a tibial plateau fracture. Three months off the leg. Bummer.

Um...winter sports? What winter? LOL!

We don’t HAVE winter sports around here except for our
profesional hockey team...that by the way has a 27-6-3
record for the year. Pretty good for the desert!

I think we go more for SUMMER sports!

I am Curling.

Sounds about right, as I am too clumsy for figure skating, and much too much of a weenie to risk my neck bobsledding or on the luge. :-)

Not gonna do the HTML thingie 'cause I don't want to submit my email address, but otherwise took the quiz and it sez:

You Are Hockey
Tough, athletic, and not afraid of a fight.
You don't mind putting your body on the line!

Which isn't exactly accurate, as I do love Hockey but am really no good at it .. never could learn to skate backwards and all that ... however ....

My real passion is Skiing, and although not a speed-demon on skis, can navigate the slopes rather smoothly on any incline until getting into the moguls ... that's where it all falls apart for me, as I'm not really an 'airborne' type skier and working the moguls requires a good jump or two within any given run, especially on the steeps where them damn moguls are coming at ya so fast!

Nah, its 'cruising' for me ... nice sweeping turns floating on a magic carpet ride of velvety new powder :) That's the ticket --- YEAHHHHHHH :)

The Lord was with Joseph. —Genesis 39:2

At the age of 16, pianist Leon Fleisher made his formal debut at Carnegie Hall with the New York Philharmonic. He went on to win prestigious international competitions and played in the world’s finest concert halls. But at the age of 37, Fleisher was struck with dystonia, a neurological condition that crippled his right hand. After a period of despondency and withdrawal, he turned to teaching and conducting, because, as he said, he loved music more than he loved the piano.

When our dreams are shattered, how do we react? After Joseph, the favored son of Jacob, was sold as a slave by his brothers (Gen. 37:12-36), he could have given in to self-pity and self-indulgence. Instead, Joseph remained true to the Lord. Four times in Genesis 39, we read that “the Lord was with” Joseph (vv.2-3,21,23), and his actions revealed his own faithfulness to God. By his exemplary life, those he served in Egypt recognized God’s presence with him.

Do we love God more than our own dreams? Although Joseph must have grieved the loss of his past and what his life could have been, the Lord led him to a calling he had never imagined. Today, the Lord longs to lead us. Are we willing to be redirected by Him?

My cherished plans may go astray,
My hopes may fade away;
But still I’ll trust my Lord to lead,
For He doth know the way. —Overton

A man’s heart plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps. —Proverbs 16:9

Okay....It is now apparent that Scott Brown will be the next Senator from the state of Massachusetts. It is my belief that FreeRepublic played no little role in this earth-shaking event. It is now time to send another message to those who would take away our freedoms, tax us into poverty and force socialism on us all.

Let's dig down deep tonight and do what we can to end this FReepathon. Let's make sure that the most popular conservative website continues long and strong.

Thank you!

You Are Curling
What you lack in athleticism, you make up for in concentration, brilliance and sex-appeal.
And while curling isn't much more of a sport than bowling, you *can* win a gold medal for it!
