And just when Chris Dodd thought that his money, at least, was safe.

40 miles of the coast of George Town... down in the Cayman Trench... Just got off the phone with friends who live there... lots of shaking but no damage to the buildings where they are.

Wow! Second verse, same as the first. Right down to the looting and the preacher blaming it on the evil people. :)

Cotton Mather didn’t catch the same crap that Pat Robertson did! LOL. How times have changed.

Love the Caymans..one of the most beautiful places on Earth. Started going there in 1982 when they didn’t even have TV on the island.

We were just there, exactly a year ago — strange little place — beautiful isn’t the word I’d use — that’s the description of the Dominican Republic and the Isle of Pines, just below Cuba.

Hope there were no injusries — too mant shakes in the fault line could disappear the entire Caribbean chain —
there are those who theorize that it’s what is left of hte contintent of Atlantis.

We lived on Grand Cayman for a few years. We were told that small earthquakes were recorded all the time, but you only feel the large ones. The good news is the building code is very strict.

I agree, have been going down there for 28 years since 1978 may not be the most beautiful place but very unique and great people and the water is incredible.

Yikes - that’s some sinkhole! Glad to hear that it wasn’t any worse than it was and that everyone is safe.

HUGE sinkhole.
Very strange looking, considering there was no other damage.

Thanks again for thinking of me!!!!
