Prediction (Ed Markey's District Turns Red Alert)
National Review ^ | 1/18/2010 | Mark Krikorian

I spoke to a sort-of pro-choice but non-political relative in the Boston area last night (in Ed Markey's district) and casually asked whom she was voting for: "I'm certainly not voting for her." She said that no one she knows is voting for Coakley.

My prediction: Brown will win by seven points on Tuesday.

A stunner: one person knows that no one she knows in Ed Markey's district is voting for Coakley. When was the last time you saw a congressional district in Massachusetts turn Red? My prediction? Brown takes the state by double digits on Tuesday!

LOL! Priceless. I cannot stand Ed Markey. Brown rocks. I would love to see a Brown GOP clone run against Markey in his district for Markey’s seat.

Love the Brown story. My concern is Obama’s scheming over Haiti and flooding FL with Haitians. The liberal newsmedia is spinning Haiti for Obama to wear down compassionate Americans. I see it here at FR.

It is, indeed, encouraging.

This race proves that if a candidate is articulate and personable enough, explains the issues concisely, speaks the truth, and doesn't go negative, he can get elected anywhere. It will serve as great lesson for other conservative candidates to take the Massachusetts' machine head-on.

This is just the beginning chapter, and I can hardly wait for the sequel to this story.

Martha and Edgeworth’s most famous Ice Cream Truck driver came to the MLK Breakfast in Malden on Saturday. Martha spoke for 30 seconds. Fast Ed took the mic for twenty minutes.

I will be happy with a Brown victory period. A 4 or 5 point victory will be a very pleasant outcome in this bluest of blue states.
