Desperate Haitians scrambled Sunday to find food and water and guarded their meager possessions against the advance of looters as the U.S. and other nations struggled to jump-start a sluggish relief effort.

Even as Navy and Coast Guard ships arrived offshore, a round-the-clock airlift intensified and additional dignitaries appeared, the frantic victims of Tuesday's 7.0-magnitude earthquake were growing more fearful as they pleaded for help and security in a lawless city.

There was a comment earlier by another freeper proposing a US backed interem government to jump start them. I’m kinda leaning that way. Teach em to fish.

Haiti was born as a successful revolt of a French slave colony. So far so good. What followed wasn’t exactly a storybook tale, however.

But anyhow if there is a “teachable moment” in Haiti’s history, THIS IS IT. It would be stupid to just tell ‘em go to hell. Because they will and then we will wonder how Satan got so powerful.

It's amazing how, during a natural disaster, fundamental security rests upon the freedom of citizens to keep and bear arms.

Nobody can loot your food and water if you have the ability to shoot them.

That's just what they need! An AK-47 and 1,000 rnds of ammo apiece and the Haitians will become civil and rebuild Haiti themselves. A beacon of peace and prosperity.

The US military that is coming in today-the foot soldiers so to speak-are heavily armed.

Things are very bad there and are expected to get much worse.

"We're all scared. ....we need the United States Marines." ... a typical sign read: "Welcome the U.S. Marine. We need some help. Dead bodies inside." Another read: "U.S. Marines SOS. We need help."

"The blue helmets, they don't do anything," said Gregoire Sancerre,... "If you have trouble and call them, they won't come. They are afraid of gangsters. What use are they?"

Funny. No one is crying for the FRENCH to help them, but they want the US Marines! And considering that France has a moral obligation one would think they'd have been first to help their ex colony.

And no shock about the Blue Helmets, the LOW opinion of them is world wide.

this is just the start and why I said we should not have got into this more than we have but instead the do gooders cried heartless etc.

we have mob rule over there before this even happened, life was cheap and killing was a way of life before all of this.

Now obama , these do gooding groups are bringing thousands upon thousands of them over to here and many have already landed in Tampa, Miami and central Fl

what we are seeing and the media is not covering it is another Cuba but this time the cameras are not there..
This has been done behind closed doors over the weekend.

Now how the hell can we afford them in FL when we can't even hire a cop but all of a sudden we can house them, educate them when our schools cannot afford the heating bill.
feed them when we have more and more homeless
dress them
look after them

where are these thousands going to go?
Are they being put into foreclosed homes? If so then who is paying for this us the tax payer.

We have to stop this madness before our boys and girls get killed over there and stop them coming over here by calling our reps and those in FL.
Once FL goes blue then the white house is lost and obama knows this

funny hey how obama took months to send troops to fight terrorist but within a couple of days he sends over 10,000 over there and sorts out to let 100,000 to 200,000 Haitians stay here and bring thousand upon thousands over here all at the cost to the tax payer

Meanwhile the good folks at a church here have cobbled up a bunch of water and juice and are heading out probably to their doom.

They just can’t understand their extremely intense desire to do something is a recipe for disaster.

And closer to home, here in the Ozark Mountains we shoot painted M1 steel helmets and paper targets of various Congresscritters. Hell, even the ATF is afraid to come up here without backup.
