His supporters say the book will show Romney is more thoughtful than Sarah Palin.
BY KENNETH T. WALSH
Friends of Mitt Romney say his upcoming book, No Apology: The Case for American Greatness, is a lengthy and detailed explanation of his philosophy and should be a fitting prelude to a 2012 presidential campaign if Romney decides to run. The book, which comes out March 2, seems designed to position Romney as a thoughtful conservative who has ruminated carefully about the major issues of the day, ranging from the global economy to national security.
Romney supporters say it will serve as a conservative contrast to the views of President Obama but also will show Romney to be far more thoughtful than former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, who is also considering a 2012 run. Her book, Going Rogue, is a bestseller, but it has apparently done little to improve her reputation as a thinker and a leader who can reach out beyond her conservative base and master the complicated challenges of national office.

Explain why “ex-Christians” don’t become Mormons, but “ex-Mormons” become Born Again Christians about 50% of the time?
Mormons are Christians.
=- - -= - - -
Denied.
Sociologically (secular) they may be considered Christians, but theologically they are NOT.
Haven’t you ever heard of having 2 jobs?
You can have your “day job” (law firm janitor?) and still work (or even “volunteer”) for the Mittster.
So, do you support Mitt’s attacks on Palin since you keep thinking there is something wrong with Diogenesis’ post?
I consider you one of the most IRRESPONSIBLE POSTERS on Free Republic because you REFUSE TO TAKE RESPONSIBLITY for putting yourself in the kitchen; you want the kitchen to take responsibility for the fact that it’s too hot for you. If you can’t stand the heat, get an asbestos apron or get out of the kitchen.

Correct me if I am wrong, but isn’t GOP_Lady the one who keeps wanting to kick people off of threads and orders people not to post to her?
I seem to recall discussing this on a thread last week.
Mormons don’t in the least bother me. .Every one of them I have dealt with personally have always been ethical.

Check out the book the “Darker Side of Virtue” by Anson Shupe. It is an eyeopener about the supposed ‘ethics’ of many LDS.
You thought THAT was a “horrid post”. Oh please! (insert eyeroll here). Get off your high horse.
Your post to E was MUCH worse than his post to you.
You throw a temper tantrum and then accuse ejonesie22 of not being “adult-like”??!?!
ROFLMAO.
And; since you profess athesism; MormonISM does not 'bother' you either.
I'm not a MORMON; but I will prophecy that at some time in the future, you WILL be bothered by religion of some sort.
And, if I am proven wrong, well, I have merely wasted my (and probably your) time.
Surely NOT!
How could ANY poster on FR be so ARROGANT??!
Would ya like a list...
Islamic birth control is a bomb strapped to a ten year old...
Does that work for you?
You have been doing that for years, claiming to be Catholic and then rejecting your Pope and your faith's teaching on Mormonism.
Although you claim to be a Catholic you know very well that your church is clear that Mormonism is not Christian.
Being at war with your church and Pope and serving Mormonism by feeding falsehoods to Christians is not a good place to be.
Thank you for the kind words!
WARNING: The internet isn't always a nice place of
TRUE CONSERVATIVE values. There are IRRESPONSIBLE
posters out there whose words cannot be defended, no matter
who those words are about:
To: Chet 99 Huckabee says what he wants in his own name.
Unlike GOP-traitor Mitt Romney's and his minions' knives fresh with the coppery smell of Gov.Palin's and her childrens' blood on them all done secretly, through junior staff's spouses. 143 posted on Monday, November 17, 2008 5:12:53 PM by Diogenesis |
Once again you post Diogenesis’ words yet fail to ping him. How very irresponsible of you.
I will defend Dio’s words. He spoke the truth. Metaphorical blood, to be sure, but the “hatchet” job that Romney did on Palin cannot be denied. And “assassinating” her character and THE CHARACTER OF HER CHILDREN was a low blow that cannot be defended, even by the most ardent (read: you) Mitt supporter.
Mitt is a slimy, lying, creep.
Mitt isn’t the “slimy, lying creep” — those aren’t his words.
I don’t post to those types of people. They should be shunned.
No wonder you like Mitt.
Boss, could you settle something for us please?
Me (post #114) - “Mitt is a slimy, lying, creep.”
Gop_lady (post #115) - “Mitt isnt the slimy, lying creep those arent his words. I dont post to those types of people. They should be shunned.”
What say you, Sir?
Gop_lady : Mitt isnt the slimy, lying creep those arent his words. I dont post to those types of people. They should be shunned.”

No, those are MY words and I stand by my description? And whose shunning are you calling for? hmm? It sounds like you are saying that YOU have free speech, but those who oppose Mitt should not be allowed to voice opinions.
And being a Law Firm janitor, I am sure you are aware that Mitt, being a public figure, it is permissible to use such words about Mitt without it being “libel”.
The only slimy thing around here is ANYONE who would use the words or images of Reagan to defend Mitty Romney.
That is TRULY IRRESPONSIBLE and not something a TRUE CONSERVATIVE would ever do.
ouch...
