Tensions are becoming dangerously high on the streets of Port-au-Prince, Haiti, as increasingly desperate Haitians search for food and water while tons of supplies remain stuck at the country's airport. "What's going on? We can't even breathe! Who is helping us?" a man cried out today to an ABC News camera crew. Wearing a yellow bandana over his face and surrounded by other young and angry men, he said, "It takes one night to get the U.S. troops here, you know. It takes just a second for the military to get here."

Rush quoted an AP report last week that declared Obama’s response in Haiti to be more rapid and effective than Bush’s response to Katrina. The MSM is so deperate to curry favor with the messiah that they don’t even contain their praise when it’s clearly too soon and risky to bestow it. I’m sure it will come up on Rush’s show this week. Our activities in Haiti have totally pissed off the French (who knew?) and has Hugo Chavez bashing America (who knew, again?)

"Whiteman's greed runs a world in need".

Is it obama's fault yet or is it still Bush's fault?

How did we piss off the French? They want to spearhead things because it is their old colony? Don’t tell me Obama acted Unilaterally did he?

No one but America could possibly organize the relief effort.

Pitiful that things have gone so very wrong.

The dead must be buried. The hungry and hurt must be taken care of.

That political concerns have taken precedence over their lives must have many wishing they had perished in the quake.

The maoist is busy partying, golfing, celebrating himself.

"Haiti Relief: Anger Mounts Among Desperate Haitians Over Supplies Stuck At Airport"

Watched first segment of 60 Minutes tonight on Haiti. Doctors were operating with hacksaws and vodka as sterilizer. The Doctors complained that supplies were bottle-necked at the airport. They also showed front-end loaders scooping up bodies and putting them in Dump Trucks to be buried in mass graves.

No mention of the Obama administration failing to get stuff to the survivors, however if President Bush were now President 60 Minutes would have been all about the failure of the Government getting aide to the people.

Should of sent in roadies from rock and roll bands, they could get it done and provide their own security.

You cannot supply 3.5 million people by one third-world airport.

From the moment the magnitude of the earthquake was apparent, Obama, as the chief executive of the US and the only person in a position able to marshall the various resources needed, should have mounted an all-out, round-the-clock effort to clear the channel to the seaport and establish a massive refugee camp supplied by sea.

With a sea-supplied depot, one can supply water and food and medicine and sanitation facilities to a very large number of people.

Simply leaving people out in the city among tens of thousands of rotting corpses and roving gangs doubles what is already a massive disaster.

I am not saying it would have been easy. You would have to pull or blow the fallen cranes and other debris out of the way, and bring in floating cranes to offload containers or use military landing ships or other vessels and perhaps even lay in a floating dock.

I hope I’m wrong, but Obama’s lack of any semblance of executive ability or leadership may mean the difference for tens of thousands, if not hundreds of thousands of Haitians, who may die from infection, cholera, dysentery and other diseases.

However, his performance will never be criticized by the corrupt, lap-dog media.

This is truly sad. These people aren’t expecting a miracle, they’re expecting a montage. It’s supposed to work like a movie. There are pictures of trucks and two seconds later, everybody has an ice cream cone. The doctors operate for a hundred hours without sleep and everybody lives, except for the guy with the funny accent that wanted to drive a taxi. All the footage of blocked roads and wrecked vehicles ends up in the out-take reel because the producer said it made the second act run too long.

It is amazing how cluelessness has spread through the world. Hopefully the bulk of the people there are not as stupid as some newscasters.

Maybe the MSM will take a step back and realize that some disasters can't be fixed in a day or two.

Oh but if they did that they'd have to reevaluate their demonetization of Bush.

Forget it.

Go here to donate to Catholic Relief Services -- CRS -- (secure site) -- they do not have the overhead for office, etc. that Red Cross does, and you know that your MONEY does not support abortions!

This is being discussed right now on the John Batchelor show. He says the earthquake changed the floor of the sea port, which could impede such an operation.

(I have no idea if this is right, or if it would block Navy ships from the port. Maybe a knowledgable person will weigh in.)

Well, it’s pretty easy to criticize from here. Many roads are blocked; Foreigners (ESPECIALLY us) have to work under the direction of what’s left of the government so as not to usurp it (not debating here whether that’s even worth avoiding, but it is a sovereign country). I haven’t seen any anger directed at the US (actually, quite a bit of thanks), but some directed at the gov’t of Haiti. Considering that the earthquake happened in the capital where about 1/4 of the people live, and I’ll bet most of the government personnel live, it’s safe to assume that a lot of government workers including officials who would direct a disaster are dead or simply immobilized. This is a third world country, and near the bottom of that. The idea that they had “contingency plans” or “redundant lines of communication” or even a chain of succession is silly. They probably barely had plans or lines of communication to begin with. The government certainly never had much money - what, exactly, would they tax?

These people aren’t expecting a miracle, they’re expecting a montage. It’s supposed to work like a movie

The hours approaching, to give it your best
You've got to reach your prime.
That’s when you need to put yourself to the test
And show us a passage of time
We're going to need a montage (montage)
Ooh it takes a montage (montage)

Show a lot of things happing at once,
Remind everyone what’s going on (what’s going on)
And when every shot you show a little improvement
Just show it all or it will take to long
That’s called a montage (montage)
Ooh we want montage (montage)

And anything that we want to know
From just a beginner to a pro,
You want a montage (montage)
Even Rocky had a montage (montage)

(Montage...montage)
Anything that we want to know
From just a beginner to a pro,
You need a montage (montage)
Ooh it takes a montage (montage)

Always fade out in a montage,
If you fade out
It seem like more time has passed in a montage
Montage

Where are the US Navy Construction Battalions (SeaBees)? Given the ENORMOUS damage to the infrastructure of Haiti from that earthquake, SeaBee units should be in Haiti RIGHT NOW rebuilding the most critical infrastructure--namely ports and the main airport--so relief supplies can be unloaded and distributed.

Who are they mad at? Mom? Whose fault is it? Why don’t they use their FEELINGS to start to make it better? What will rioting solve? Who will it hurt? What will it prove? How will it help?
