"Largely overlooked in assessing Browns prospects: the hidden hand of Mitt Romney. The former Massachusetts governor headlined at a fundraiser for Brown last October. And Romney has helped Brown raise money outside the state as well. I know Scott and how determined he is to win. I've campaigned for him, raised money on his behalf, and we're doing all we can to help him over the finish line, Romney wrote supporters last Monday. Brown, 50, raised $1.3 million that day."
That Mitt, he sure is slick!
I don’t care whether Mitt helped or not. I still won’t vote for him in a presidential election.
You have to admit, there is a certain elegance to taking a candidate you had very little visible relationship with and who is surging on the basis of popular discontent with a national health care plan that is largely modeled on the one YOU created and spin that into “I did it!”
Here comes the Dalu Beast trying to discredit Brown by saddling him with Mitt!!
No, Mitt, it wasn’t you working behind the scenes. It was me. I did it, with the help of my 200 cousins in Massachusetts.
How do you spell elegance, c-h-u-t-z-p-a-h?
Romney wants to claim credit for Scott Brown’s potential win.
Please give the Mittster some credit. He’s down to a -34 on the Kolob meter and you cannot become a god on planet Kolob with those numbers.
> Romney wants to claim credit for Scott Browns potential win.
That’s how I interpret the situation too. Take a picture of yourself with a winner and you’ll feel like a winner too.
Enough Mitt, can it and just shake Brown's hand on the stage when he wins.Be a man for a change instead of a panting jerked up Irish Setter dog.
I know. I’m sitting on a post detailing the downside of Brown’s win.
Mitt’s hand is so “hidden” it’s virtually invisible and non-existent. Just like NY23, he has voted present so far.
This is the same guy who got blasted here for apparently not doing enough to get others from Mass elected for office. I guess some people are just ungrateful and spiteful no matter what.
(waits for lame excuse)
You can blast Romney for his healthcare plan. You can blast him for changing positions. You can blast him for past stands on abortion. You can probably blast him for dirty campaign tricks (maybe not on the same level as Huck and McCain, but so be it).
This hardly seems like something to criticize the guy for. Matter of fact, it’s impish.
Scott Brown is the Boston Ahn Cao. Brown will have to face the voters again in 2012. No way, he wins re-election in a Presidential year.
That is “Myth Scam-Me”! As opportunistic and full of himself as Billy Clinton.
I don't understand how this is indictment of Romney. But, I'm sure that will be explained to me.
