Chris Matthews Worried There Aren't Votes for Democrats to Buy in MA Tuesday
News Real Blog ^ | Jan. 17, 2010

Things are looking so bad for Democrats in Tuesday's special election for the Senate seat vacated by Ted Kennedy that MSNBC's Chris Matthews is concerned there aren't any left-leaning votes for his Party to buy. "You know in the old days you'd go back to the people you were sure are going to vote Democrat...you'd get them lunch, you'd get them a car, you'd make sure they got to the polling place, and in some cases you'd be buying people to get them."

I’m getting the impression this is how Chris Matthews was conceived.

He’s just now revealing some of the corruption he’s failed to report over the years.

These guys don’t even hide it anymore. It’s right there, right out in the open when Mathews says, right there on TV, there are no votes to buy.

Just bus'em in from NY.

They can take over the buses that usually go to Atlantic City.

Give'em a $10 gambling voucher, a $10 food voucher, send them to vote in Boston and then they get to go to an Indian Casino.

Problem solved.

Croaker wins, chrisy slobbers in joy and fat ed decides to run for the senate.

“its like chris is lamenting DEM corruption no longer working”

Well, it IS Chris Matthews lamenting DEM corruption no longer working.

I’ve never seen such hapless desperation.

Sadly, it doesn’t even surprise me to see this kind of organized corruption anymore, but it makes me raise an eyebrow that it is openly acknowledged - and no one seems to care much.

Not at all. He slipped and told the truth. The dems don't have the money to buy enough votes fast enough to win,so they will cheat as they always do.

Don’t worry, Chris. Those old folks from the old days have passed on to their Reward, but they’ll still be voting Democrat.

YOUR Democrat Party will see to it that their votes still count—and are counted—over and over and over again.

Chris Matthews Worried There Aren't Votes for Democrats to Buy in MA Tuesday

Did Chris forget about the democrats' most reliable constituency which doesn't have to be bought, that being the residents of all cemeteries in Massachusetts?

That is frightening. What is even more frightening is that I know there are people who would do that.

Yes, he did. I saw it. It was Friday night, during a discussion with Chuck Todd. Ed Schultz - also on MSNBC - suggested committing voter fraud, if necessary, to win Tuesday’s election.

Hey, he worked and learned vote-buying from an expert...

From wiki...

Matthews later worked six years as a top aide to long-time Speaker of the House of Representatives Tip O'Neill, playing a direct role in many key political battles with the Reagan administration.

Chrissie was Tip O’Neil’s toadie for a number of years. Groveling and fetching coffee were his areas of expertise.

I predict Brown will win by such a narrow margin that the DEMS will steal it with their patented fuzzy math “Recount”, like they did to Coleman and tried to do to Bush.

Right - and, by the way, Glenn Beck has done a great job in exposing the thuggery and corruption in SEIU.

I agree. Matthews was always a partisan Democrat but in recent years he’s become unhinged and totally irrational in his sputtering attacks on everything conservative - especially now in his obsessive and slanderous attacks on Sarah Palin.

Well, if I heard correctly and that Bostonian lady really is affiliated with SEIU, I hope Beck looks into that. Just in case SEIU is up to somthing in addition to earthquake relief.
