It is absolutely stunning how FREEPERS are trading principles over a win. Just two months ago, everyone was swearing NEVER to support a RINO and here we are...very tragic and sad. One positive...I don’t have to be in the position to vote for this election. I was unfortunately in the position when voting for Senator of Pennsylvania years back when I had to vote for the Scottish Guy :) However, there was not the screaming NO RINOs back then. Today I would never vote for Arlen Specter!!!

No one is trading principles, they are simply seeing the larger strategic picture in relation to their principles. This is chess, not checkers.

In war as in life, it is often necessary when some cherished scheme has failed, to take up the best alternative open, and if so, it is folly not to work for it with all your might.- Winston Churchill

I think in this case, assuming Brown is a RINO, there is no choice but to support him. He is our only immediate hope to put the brakes on the Obama agenda.

Of course RINOs are wrong, but would you rather have Martha Coakley in that position, esp. at this time?

No what is stunning is how desperate the O-bots here are to find any excuse to avoid having to attack the Left on anything.

Let see, in your lunatic world view it is worse to vote for a guy who will kill Obamacare because he is not ideological pure. You do realize is your hyper purist dogma does one thing right? You would make sure the Dems get the 60th vote to guarantee it's passage just because he is not pure enough for you?

Are you two really this stupid?

Are you guys just liars who are actually working for the Democrat National Committee or just this politically stupid?

Cause to say this sort of ignorant crap you have to either be a Democrat Party operatives or totally ignorant of how politics in a Constitutional Republic works.

So which is it guys, are you frauds or fools?

Stunning is the mere possibility of a Republican winning this Massachusetts election, and the message it would send regarding 0bama and his agenda. A win by Brown would truly rattle Dem bones! :)

Blah blah blah, nobody is doing any such thing. The problem here is not that Brown is a RINO, but that you are simply too dumb to think for yourself, choosing rather to let David Frum manipulate you.

This is a chance to stop the advancement. You will never get a 95 rated ACU candidate elected in Mass. NEVER!!!

Take the victories when they present themselves and in this instance it is a major embarrassment to Obama if the Repubs take this seat.

Good enough I say

Palin spoke highly of Title IV in her book. That is not a conservative position. Is she a RINO too?

He supports parental notification, against lowering age of consent, voted for religious exemptions for hospitals and is endorsed by one of the MA pro-life groups. I sure would like to know about Sotomayer- that’s for certain, but he is head and shoulders above Coakley and many of the other current Repubs. Whether we like it or not, gay marriage is the law of this state. That was not controversial.

I have no problem poking Scott Brown with a stick if, during his service, he strays from conservatism, but I will enthusiastically support him in this election.

Levi Johnston gets castigated for nude poses for some mag. Yet Scott Brown poses nude for Cosmopolitian and wins “America’s Most Sexiest Man” award and now it’s on and upward as Senator from MA. It really makes you wonder doesn’t it?

The perfect shouldn’t be the enemy of the good. You must plow the fields with the oxen God gave you. If Brown wins, there is no doubt that we will be unhappy with some of his votes, but the immediate concern is stopping Obama’s agenda. Even if he doesn’t win, the fact that a Dem is in a tough fight to replace Teddy Kennedy is remarkable and is already sending a very strong message to all Dems regardless of where they are.

I understand how you feel. I am the first one to point out that RINOs ruined our party when they were in power, but Republicans are nowhere near being in power now. MSNBC was reporting that Brown is getting little support from the RNC, but millions of dollars of small donations. I must admit at this critical point I want to see democrats see their Waterloo especially with Obama going up to MA to campaign Sunday. At MSNBC they are very upset about this situation for democrats.

Now if Republicans do get power many years from now Brown if he wins will likely cause us headaches. But this one win (or a close loss) may kill democrats entire agenda.

What is stunning about, in a race in which the choices are someone who supports many of our positions and someone who supports everything we're against, supporting the former?

It's stunning to me how some people can get on their soap boxes and decry those of us who are dealing with the reality we're presented with and not folding our arms and letting Obama have another vote...and think THEY are the principled ones.
