Wow. Wow. Wow. Not a surprise "Wow." But like "wow" is Senate candidate Martha Coakley so politically unaware that she just said what all those liberals actually think about religious people.
Martha Coakley said on the radio that she's against conscience protections and then added in answer to a question about Catholics in particular:
"you can have religious freedom but you probably shouldnt work in an emergency room.
So what she's saying is that you can believe whatever you want but you have to do what the government tells you to do. So you can have your religion as long as it doesn't affect your life.
I can't imagine this will help her chances in Catholic-heavy Massachusetts.
Check out the video at CMR.

I am just stunned that Caokley would say something so ridiculous. I don't care what your religion, most people would be against forcing a person to do things against their beliefs.
Jumped out at me; wasn’t that the Nazi death camp guards defense? “I was only following orders”?!”
Every single person in the entire State could vote for Brown, including Coakley herself, and Brown would still lose
Coakley better pray she never needs surgery.
The Brown campaign should make the point that she is over her head and that the people should not TRUST her to make health care decisions that control their lives.
Broaden the attack.
GOOOOOOAAAALLLLL!
That’s a great point
(I saw the sarcasm tag) However there are a lot of Catholics in Massachusetts, who have repeatedly reelected the likes of Kerry and Kennedy. Calling themselves Catholic and practicing the most anti Catholic policies.
Why woulldn't they vote for someone who insults their religion now?
Martha Coakley said ... about Catholics in particular: "you can have religious freedom but you probably shouldnt work in an emergency room.
Careful genius.
In the handful of Level 1 Trauma Centers that are left in Chicago, FOUR are Catholic Hospitals: St Bernard, Advocate Christ Hospital(1), Advocate IL Masonic Hospital and Mercy Hospital. Another, St Anthony serves ONLY Obama voters on the West Side (baaaad area)
(1) actually it's in Oak Lawn IL but that's where the cops & fire have take them, since Michelle Obama kicked the poor out from the Univ of Chi Hospitals and closed the Trauma Center (Bernard Mitchell Hospital)
Sadly, it is liberal Catholics in Massacusetts that have helped to keep folks like Ted Kennedy and Martha Coakley in office. :(
Thank you!
How about euthanasia? Not that it’s done now, but that’s certainly where Obamacare is headed.
BITCH
Some citizens get to work IF you have the RIGHT beliefs.
Mass, you have 4 days to wake the H up.
She is just saying what all evil DUMS believe.
How soon before all Catholic and other religion based Hospitals and Clinics must CLOSE if you refuse to provide the death policies of the FEDS.
Is Euthanasia far behind?
“No Irish need apply.”
Wonder how this went down with the Southies of S. Boston, one of the most reliable Democratic voting blocs of the past two centuries.
If you take this to the limit, this would mean no Irish need apply for the so-called Kennedy Senate seat either.
Does this woman have a tin ear for politics or what?
I get what you are say, but I would like to point out that this might be the first time I’ve ever seen the words Liberal and Work used in the same sentence...
The way to ensure victory is to win overwhelmingly. Also, to challenge any close votes. Taking the high road is just playing the game the libs want and expect us to play. Attack, attack, ATTACK!!!
I know there have been a lot of calls for having Coakley sound bites and quotes in opposition ads. Do that and she’ll probably clam up for the next few days. I say: Stand back and let this house burn.
And liberal, middle aged, stupid women shouldn’t be allowed in the Senate. We have enough of them already and they are helping zero run the country into the ground.
