ALASKA ELECTION CENTRAL
We need names, positions, platforms, news articles, statements, pictures. We need to separate the RINOS from the Conservatives, and most of all, we need to get the liberals of either party OUT!
We can do this if you help. I have started this thread. All you have to do is contribute a little time and a little research. Help us help this country, and between us, we WILL take our country back!
Let's Do It!!!
I don’t think I’ve ever heard about him being called a democrat but he’s definitely a conservative.
Maybe the news stations do it because that’s what was written out for them to say??
That would be great if you came. I’m President of the Colorado River Republican Women and we’re sponsoring this dinner. It’s going to be great...always is! Just come in a few days earlier...
Brewer wants to have the people vote on a tax increase. As things go, that’s not so bad. Why she’s staked her entire career on it is beyond me, though.
Thanks, Hildy. I’ll let you know if there’s a change in our plans.
Carolyn, I’ve met Dean and he’s a great guy and a true, true Conservative. We’d be so lucky to have him at this time.
Just a little side note, Dean suffered an incredible tragedy last year...his wife died during childbirth and the baby died a few days later. It was horrible. But he dove back into work. He’s an incredible man.
Where do you stay in Laughlin? I’m right on the other side of the river...I’m looking at all the hotels right now!
Usually at the Avi Casino and Hotel. Yeah, I know it’s not really Laughlin but we like it there. Only thing is there’s not that good a view of the river.
Always enjoy their $.99 ham and egg breakfast...only with the club card, of course!
Yes, the AVI is Laughlin! I love the Avi, it’s just a bit further out. Just bought hubby a ticket to their poker tournament at the end of the month. It’s his birthday present!
I hope he wins especially since it’s his birthday! I don’t play at the tables. Usually have good luck at the video poker machines.
Hope you can make it to dinner. There are some really great people. A lot of our county and state officials come. It’s a fun time.
McCain wins big at Maricopa County GOP annual conclave
January 16, 2010
as least acceptable candidate for U.S. Senate seat from Arizona.
Out of 228 ballots cast at the January 16, 2010 mandatory meeting of elected precinct committeemen, the results of the unofficial straw poll for the U.S. Senate seat were as follows:
Least Acceptable Candidate for U.S. Senate:
Sen. John McCain: 183 votes 82.4%
Former Congressman J.D. Hayworth: 13 votes 5.9%
First Choice for U.S. Senate:
Former Congressman J.D. Hayworth: 156 votes 68.7%
Sen. John McCain: 24 votes 10.6%
Jim Deakin: 35 votes 15.4%
Chris Simcox: 12 votes 5.3%
The conservative slate for members-at-large won overwhelmingly, besting the McCain cohorts.
(Scroll down for the 11 by-law changes, 11 resolutions.)
See the entire vote for U.S. Senate, Arizona Governor, Attorney General, and survey questions concerning the roles of the party elected officials and Arizonas grassroots party workers, the precinct committeemen.
In the vote for governor, it would appear there is a disconnect between Gov. Jan Brewer and the party loyalists on the issue of taxation as part of the solution for Arizonas budget crisis. However, she was given a warm welcome and her speech which did not mention taxes was well-received.
Brewer was forthright in laying blame for much of the economic calamity at the feet of former Gov. Janet Napolitano, saying she and her team conducted business for the state of Arizona exactly the same as shes handling Homeland Security. Brewer reiterated her commitment to halting illegal immigration, spoke of her Second Amendment credentials and reminded the crowd of the pro-life legislation she signed.
In total, there were 1699 elected precinct committeemen represented at the Saturday meeting 1163 in person and 536 by proxy.

Arizona, please vote John McCain out of office!
To my fellow Freepers. Saturday I attended my third meeting held by Brian Miller in Sunsites.
Brian Miller is running for the 8th Congressional Dist. AZ. Brian is running on a strict conservative platform and is not seeking or accepting any special interest money. All of the finances for his campaign comes $5.00 to $10.00 at a time from the people who agree with his platform. I have not read anything about him in the newspapers (you can guess why). Brian was at the Tea Parties in D.C and Tucson. Brian also knows about Free Republic and appreciates what we do. I have decided to support Brian Miller. If you are in Dist. 8 I can only ask you to look at his web page.

Thank you. Vernon Parker was at the LD 26 meeting in December; Johm Munger was our guest speaker this month, and I was contacted by the Martin campaign for our February meeting.
They are all very impressive, intelligent, and conservative.
I followed the death of his wife and baby at the time... if he is conservative I will vote for him.. Brewer leaves me cold.
we are working on it.
Vernon Parker is another good choice. He’s an African-American Conservative.
He is VERY conservative.
Joe Arpaio for Governor
I'm too far north to vote in AZ, but I like that pair of votes.
It’s great when the choice is so clear cut isn’t it?
