BELGRADE, Serbia (AP) -- Serbia filed a lawsuit against Croatia at the International Court of Justice on Monday, accusing it of genocide during the 1991-1995 Balkan war, which killed or displaced thousands of people.
Serbia was responding to a similar lawsuit that Croatia filed to the same Netherlands-based court in 1999, claiming that Serb attacks during the conflict also amounted to genocide. In 2008, the International Court of Justice granted Croatia the right to sue Serbia by deciding the court has the authority to rule in the case.
Ping!
Balkan and Albanian Muslims have been genociding Balkan Christians for decades. But do we read about their atrocities?
Decades? Try centuries, the current abomination was aided into power by the United States.
There are no saints in the Balkans. Bismarck was right!
Well gee, golly gosh. We should have just SUED after 9/11. Then everything would have been hunky dory!!
It’s about time!!!!
I hear the Bulgarians are demanding reparations from the psycho Muslim Turks too.

Let’s get it together fellow hellenes!
Since the wars in the 1990's, Balkanites are kept on a short leash by NATO and the EU. We had a choice about the use of military power post-9/11. Serbia and Croatia don't.
Even the spectacle of the Court in the Hague, deciding the legality or illegality of Kosovo's secession is a carefully orchestrated deception. Everyone knows that Serbia has almost no chance of winning that trial.
But the consequences of losing it will allow Tadich and his government to finally shrug the shoulders and say "well, we did everything we could, and we lost."
That way he can stop insisting that Serbia enter the EU 'whole' (i.e. including Kosovo). But the people of Serbia are made to feel as if the Government is fighting tooth and nail to keep the province.
The fact that the American government, including Joe Biden, a staunch Kosovo supporter, remains uncritical of Serbia is the best indicator that this is done in concert with Washington. In the past, US reaction was always loud and one-sided.
Do not fall for the temptation of propaganda intended for domestic consumption. Tadich is an exact carbon-copy of Boris Yeltsyn, except a little more polished. These trials are nothing to get excited about. Trust me.
Unfortunately you are probably right. :>(
We shall see what the Bulgarians do. I have a feeling their demands won’t fade away as fast.
But just the thought that Bulgaria would ascend to allowing Turkey to join the EU for a handful of silver dollars is repulsive. It reminds me of that (I believe) Hemingway's comment to a lady mulling an indecent proposal "we know what you are, we are just arguing over the price."
The point is, Bulragia should oppose Turkey's membership at all cost because once Turkey becomes a member of the EU, Turkish Muslims can settle anywhere in Europe, including Bulgaria or Greece!
Yes I understand your point on priniple...but It’s a start. Were the money to be paid it would mean an admission of guilt. The admission would lead to a change on an unimaginable scale.
Bulgaria is to be commended for going ahead.
And let us hope that Greece and Cyprus at least stick to their promise of troop withdrawal on Northern Cyprus...somehow I think Greece has sold it soul to the devil on this. The assassination of the Cypriot media patriot Andis Hadjikostis just the other day shows how crucial the talks are there and how murderous the dark forces are.
