Jack-Mormons are eligible for this award?
Harry Reid is just not that much of a Mormon. Hence the term “jack-Mormon”, which is a pejorative.
Any class of hypocritical, self-righteous b*****ds that are members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and are prim and proper on Sunday morning and in front of other Mormons, but swear like sailors at work, secretly drink like a fish, (possibly) cruise the net for kiddie porn on their work computers and are man-wh**es all over town.
Whew! I sure am glad I’m not one of them Jack-Mormons!
Hey ... how about Harry “Jack-Sh_t-Moron”
How about Jack-booted Moron.
To the contrare. A "jack Mormon" = inactive, and Harry Reid is very active, appearing with other Mormon members of Congress a few days before Christmas to receive the local Mormon missionaries for a Christmas event.
And the The Salt Lake Trib ran an article Oct. 23, 2009: Today, Reid, with his security escort in tow, likely will be making his home teaching rounds after his ward's three-hour service. Anyone who questions his Mormon credentials should see that, says Jim Vlock, his home-teaching companion.

Lds leaders send their "more mature" members to make home teaching presentations to families.
I want to hear a statement from Mitt Romney regarding this award to Harry. [Servant of the Cross]
Well, if we can't get Romney, would you settle for another Mormon politician, Sen. Orrin Hatch? (Admittedly, Hatch made this assessment a few months prior to Reid just winning this award): ...Orrin Hatch, says it's not fair for fellow Mormons to disparage Reid as anything but a devout Mormon..."I can personally tell you that Harry is a good member of the LDS faith and he was expressing a personal opinion that his side feels very deeply about," Hatch says. [Source: same article as above]
Harry Reid is just not that much of a Mormon.

According to the Mormon Church hierarchy he is. Reid is a faithful, temple attending, tithe paying member. He is called into a meeting once a year, do determine if he is a “worthy” member in order to renew his LDS Temple recommend. His ward and stake (parish and diocese) leaders find him to be a member in “good standing”.
The LDS does not have ‘de facto’ excommunication like the Catholic church. Other people determine if an LDS member is “active”, “worthy”, or in need of excommunication.
“Jack Mormons” are not active Temple attending members. Reid is.
He sure IS!
Haven't you seen the threads about his MORMONness here on FR?
He is praised to high heaven!
(Or a least celestial heaven...)
[or was that telestial???]
