Given Obama’s extraordinarily thin record of actual accomplishment, tens of millions of voters relied on his fine-sounding promises such as his assurance that health care negotiations would be put on C-SPAN for all to see. His actions on this any a long string of other campaign promises have provided us with a far more accurate and negative measure of the man. It is clear from his steadily declining approval ratings that Obama never would have been elected had his verbal promises matched what he actually intended to do.
