Is this Martha Coakleys Shannon OBrien moment?
In 2002, Democratic gubernatorial candidate OBrien was still considered the front-runner over Mitt Romney when she sat down for the final debate, moderated by Tim Russert. When the debate was over, so was her campaign. Her extremist answer to a question on abortion, and her flippant tone as she talked about having a tattoo, combined to bury her. In that moment, voters concerns about OBrien (too liberal and not ready for the job) were captured and galvanized.
On Tuesday, while Scott Brown was rumbling across Massachusetts in his pickup, Martha Coakley jetted off to D.C. for a lobbyist-hosted fundraiser. Nearly all the lobbyist hosts had ties to Big Pharma and other health care business interests - highlighting Coakleys support for an Obamacare plan most voters oppose.
Politically speaking, that was bad.
Leaving the big-wig reception, Coakley stopped for a few press questions. She happily answered the first, but when the Weekly Standards John McCormack asked if she stood by her statement that there are no terrorists in Afghanistan, Coakley looked at him like he was a servant girl caught wearing Madams jewelry. Instead of answering, she looked around and said, Im sorry, did anyone else have a question?
Strike two.
As she walked away, the Weekly Standard reporter attempted to join the press gaggle following in her wake. He was suddenly shoved into a fence by Coakley campaign aide (and longtime Massachusetts Democratic operative) Michael Meehan.
Meehan proceeded to block the reporters path, shoving him again and again. Meehan demanded ID, which McCormack showed him, but when the reporter asked Meehan who he worked for, Meehan answered, I work for myself. The shoving continued until Coakleys entourage was gone.
Oh, and did I mention all this happened . . .

Love all the cameras catching this stuff! A picture or video can be worth a million votes.
Speaking of cameras, there were other members of the media there (AP took the photos). Where are they? They saw what happened.
If this were a Republican candidate and a WaPo reporter, does anyone believe for one moment that his colleagues wouldn’t be coming out to “testify” to how he was roughed up by a Rethuglican?
Is Coakley related to Joe Coakley?
It has not and will not be covered because the MSM
is behind the violence beginning with Jim “Crack Heads”
Lehrer. The MSM has created the coup d’etat.
This democrat woman is completely inept just like Obama! How in the heck could anyone vote for someone who thinks there aren’t any terrorists in Afghanistan? She certainly is a “front lady” for the Obama people, huh?????? I don’t see how we can stand three more years of this crap??? I just hope the Republicans don’t blow this golden opportunity!
Michael Graham hosts a talk show on 96.9 WTKK. How big is his following?

ITC, Much better than any commercial....Good person to have in Brown’s corner. Facts with humor is a great combination: Gets the message across without sounding like a negative commercial or sounding preachy.
Are most of his followers conservative or does he pick up a gambit of listeners?
I hate to say this, but I think Coakley, Bammy, and all Dems are secretly happy that Haiti had an earthquake. Now they can avoid their own mess while pretending compassion. Do you really think the MSM would be so rude as to ask a hard question of a Dem when they can cover suffering blacks? Give me a break - we live in Oprahland.
I’d say he has broad appeal.Because he doesn’t really come on hard right like Rush. And he ties in national issues in to local politics. Also he seems to have a lot of female listners.
Speaking of females I have been going to Browns campign headquarters and making calls and there are a lot of woman who are coming in to make calls. So IMO Coakley doesn’t have a hold on the “real” female voters either.
Don’t miss “the Miracle” commercial! Proud to be an American moment!

It’s the pictures (wink)
I saw those pix - they’ll definitely bring out the normal, red-blooded female vote. My gosh - what a HUNK he was! Don’t think it’ll do much to encourage the lesbian (of which there are thousands in Massachusetts).
Oh I’m sure thats part of it.But they are mostly housewifes and workers of tax paying households....you know those nasty teapartiers, that John Kerry sent a letter out dispariging the other day.
Agreed. Sometimes, I feel like we are living in an episode of The Twilight Zone titled, "Jonestown Version 2.0."
I wouldn’t have counted on the carpet cleaner vote regardless.
