The other videos I've seen have made it hard to make out exactly what happened last night in DC. I had to download the video, zoom in, and then watch it again. So, I've tried to slow it down and pick the relevant part out for all of you.
You have made a valuable contribution to exposing the Kennedy-style lying that is going on over this incident.
Generally, I’m in favor of assault on the press corps, but Coakley being the chief law enforcement official of Massachusetts, watching an assault and doing nothing, isn’t going to help her much.
It is still not clear what happened, but it IS clear that the goon was actively trying to obstruct the reporter afterward.
It’s the blocking part afterwards that should clear up any doubt. I don’t understand why you left that out.
It is dark, but I clearly saw the goon zero in on McCormack from behind, run him into the fence, and then shove him down. Afterward, and there is an extremely clear video of this portion of the assault, the goon obviously maneuvered and blocked McCormack after he got up and tried to go after Coakley.
Look at the video and how, after the awkward question, Meehan seems to look to see if there are any cops around and then lets the other thug know that he is going to get the uppity reporter. The other thug checks to see if Meehan has begun his attack and smirks. That’s where your video picks up ...
Looks like he was getting frisked after he got up.

Actually, I agree with the poster above. While some can say this part of the video is not clear, (though I believe he was pushed), it’s afterwards in the video when the thug keeps the reporter blocked that is more than clear. At that point it shows a clear violation of the reporter’s right to be on a public sidewalk.
I think I saw a second shover on the grassy knoll.
If you see the whole video the man clearly gets behind him and sets up tpo get him. SEIU goon.
Martha Coakley Goon.
The dem candidate denies knowing what happened yet she was right there in the middle of it. Figures.
I agree with your analysis. If the viewer carefully follows Meehan’s movements backwards to the start of the clip it is much easier to keep track of which back-of-the-head person in the crowd he is as he quickly weaves his way forward to nail McCormack. Anyone who watches much hockey has seen this kind of cheapshot check from behind.
BTW - anyone have any idea why comments would have been blocked on youtube?
People don’t just “stumble” into metal railings. There had to be a push to make it happen.
I think some freeze frames would really show it as you can see in the video Meehan reaching out and shoving the reporter if you watch carefully.
