TV funnyman Jay Leno is "furious" with how NBC has treated him and Conan O'Brien and is reportedly considering walking away from the network. A day after O'Brien threatened to walk away from NBC, Leno is considering doing the same.

Serve NBC right if both of them bailed to other networks.

IMO, Jay Leno is totally to blame for all this mess. He is the one who announced he was retiring a few years ago, which forced NBC to name Conan as his replacement. Then, Jay decided he did not want to retire, so they gave him that prime time slot. All Jay’s fault in my mind.

The Obama Administration has to be worried. If the suits at NBC can pull the plug on their support for celebrities they’ve established and who in return earn them billions....

Chris Matthews is waiting for the ratings to drop low enough on NBC that he can take over the Tonight Show.

Leno hinted the other day that he might be going to Fox. If he does, I think Fox will steal that slot from the LSM as well.

My wife watched Leno last night (to see Sandra Bullock). She said Leno appeared distracted and not at all focused on the program.

This has been a disaster for NBC, but I’m not shedding any tears for them. They are just a big communist media front, and they are going to fail just like any other communist business enterprise. They make their own bad luck.

You know, at least some of the blame in the case has got to lodge with the ‘talent’. If either of them could draw flies to a corpse, then they’d both be on the shows NBC tried to format for them.

But, they can’t, so they’re gone. Of course, I actually didn’t notice them, never watched either of them, and won’t miss ‘em when they go away.

I’ll be watching fresh ‘Leverage’ (TNT) round about that time of night tonight, which MSNBC didn’t even mention as a winter fresh start today. Wonder why THAT was? [rolls eyes]

Someone at the alphabet networks should offer Craig Ferguson a “hugh and series and stuning” amount of money and move him to a prime late night spot. He’s the only funnyman in late night TV.

CBS should can Letterman and give Craig that spot.

As I recall it, Jay was only “retiring” because NBC really didn’t want to lose Conan to another network, so they promised Conan the Tonight Show.

All I know is that the more NBC screws the pooch, THE BETTER.

I don’t watch either of them.

But Leno is being a prick. If it comes down to it...

I will watch less of Leno than I already do.

Conan is being wronged here.

I adore Craig! He was so wonderful with Sarah Palin, and even better with Gerard Butler.

They should give the Tonight Show to Dennis Miller. He’d kick Letterman’s wrinkled ass and ratings would soar, to boot.

True. He’s the only one I’ve ever watched who I thought was actually funny and didn’t just have sorta funny writers.
