...I am afraid Sarah Palin is going to harm herself unintentionally over this tea party convention in Nashville...
Let me be blunt: charging people $500.00 plus the costs of travel and lodging to go to a National Tea Party Convention run by a for profit group no one has ever heard of sounds as credible as an email from Nigeria promising me a million bucks if I fork over my bank account number...

I play chess. If I hear the “strategic” meme again I am going to scream. The first time about a couple of months ago it was an interesting point, now it is a cliche. Ross Perot got Bush defeated and elected Clinton president. Slice and dice any way you want. Newt was building what he built long before Perot came along. And, last time I looked, the GOP hadn’t ditched the RINOs. They are still running the show. But you are right about getting serious as a party (not necessarily in opposition) for personal and economic freedom.
> Ordinary people dont write books, and go on national book tours.
In Obama’s case, he got someone else to write his books...
Who is that?
I imagine that it is difficult to keep up if one does not live in America.
On August first, when you had never heard of the “most popular governor in America, with an approval rating in the 90s, and probably the most popular public official in any state. Governor Palin tied for third among possible Vice Presidential running mates for John McCain on Intrade.
I am sorry that you know so little about Sarah Palin, she is a Republican, and is against a third party. Personally I am a conservative independent, and always have been. I have never been a Republican.
My apologies, I did not mean to paint with such a broad brush.
Same here.
I repeat, Sarah is wise to stay away from CPAC. Here is one link from a Google search: http://www.jihadwatch.org/2009/10/john-ziegler-calls-out-the-acus-david-keene.html
deport linked to a vague reference, but there is more available on the Internet than that.
A wedding planner was hired to put the tea party convention together in San Antonio. They were citing Rush’s endorsement, even though he wasn’t an official supporter. Etc.
I am taking my daughter out for a birthday celebration and don’t have time to provide more right now, but it’s there, and I will pull some things together later.
I can understand your point of view. The conservatives did take over the party and then let the Rinos take it back so what was the use?
I certainly agree with you that she stay away from CPAC. CPAC folks are mad and they’ve got bloggers popping off about her. LOL She is circumventing the conventional thinking.
“When she became the most popular governor in America, with an approval rating in the 90s, and probably the most popular public official in any state.
Her approval rating was never in the 90’s and by the time she resigned it has dropped to 54% with an extremely high UNapproval of 45%.
I’ve mentioned this to you before but you insist on posting bad information. If you disagree with me show us the 90% approval rating (and please make it at last 6 months after her inauguration) AND her polls from June of ‘09.
Also, let’s make them maintream polling and not from “Evangelical Today”.
“There is very little difference between the Demns abd the Reps, Neither Bush was a true Republican.”
But both Bush’s had at one time approval ratings in the ‘80’s.
Wouldn’t that make them “The Most POPULAR Presidents in American History!’
Neither of these men like Palin at all. Nor any other real conservative. Norquist may even be Muslim. It's crazy!!!
” It was Sarah who brought in ANY votes for him from conservatives.”
Polls prior to the convention had McCain running even with or slightly ahead of Obama. McCain got a convention bump, as all do, but then when Palin started hitting the talk shows their ratings declined. Then the economy tanked.
All this talk about Palin “saving” the McCain campaign is rubbish. I agree that it helped shore up the vote that was wobbily about McCain and certainly helped with fundraising, but by looking at the numbers by any standard, she was part of a ticket that continually lost ground a week or so after the convention.
Now youcan blame that on McCain if you want but there is no evidence Palin “saved” anything.
Imagine that.
OMG! He's not married to a CHRISTIAN woman?
OFF WITH HIS HEAD!
>Bush spent wayyy too much money domestically, and didn’t use his veto until his second term. I don’t think it’s time for a third party.<
Unfortunately, this may be our last chance. I can only hope I am wrong, but the facts support my opinion.
Yes, the deficit wen way up under Bush, a one worlder like his dad. His open border policy has cost us dearly. And the housing debacle occured under his watch, too. He paved the way for Obama and his Alinsky mindset.
OFF WITH REDSTATE'S HEAD!
What's that? Free Republic was a co-sponosr of CPAC for 6 years?
OFF WITH FREE REPUBLIC'S HEAD!
I blame our losing the presidency to the RNC for backing the wrong man. The only reason I voted for him was because of Sarah Palin. The only consaervative candiddate running was Duncan L. Hunter, and they cast him aside like a dirty shirt, and encouraged a spoiler to o ershadow him for their own liberal reasons. How anyone can remain a phoney Republican is beyond me.
She’s not going for a third party. She stands with Reagan...we’re taking the GOP back.
