Scott Brown at the Massachusetts Senate debate: "With all due respect, it's not the Kennedy's seat, it's not the Democrats' seat, it's the people's seat."

Great line, I would cut a commercial on with that in it tommorrow. This is the way the media thinks that this is Ted Kennedy’s seat to be given in inheritance to the Democrats.
He impressed me with that comment! Sad, I shouldn’t be impressed by such, it should be a standard expectation. Our politicians have taken that from us.
Yes, they have.
But that’s not going to last...
CA....
He also needs to counter her ‘lockstep Republican’ ad by saying, “the only one I’m marching in lockstep with”, (then, pointing at the audience) “is you”.
Very nicely done!
I watched some of it and was shocked. Is Coakley really that bad at debating the issues or was she not prepared or something? Do the democrats think they can just trot a moron out there and the people of Massachusetts will vote for the letter before her name? Coakley had no business being on the same stage as Brown.
Uh... yeah.
There are few political pundits as nauseating as David Gergen...and to think this assho!e was representing the right for years on the MacNeil/Lehrer Report vs. Mark Shields. No wonder nobody could tell the difference.
I have been watching the debate on C Span and he has been mopping the floor with her. He has destroyed her .
If she wins, it will be a shame.
Now THAT LINE needs to be put into a campaign ad that runs from tomorrow all the way up to the election.
It always worked in the past. They’re still experiencing a complete reality disconnect. The sand’s shifting rapidly, and they haven’t noticed they can’t see their feet any more. Hopefully, it’ll take a few more losses before they catch on.
Sen. Brown was not intimidated by him, and made Gergen look the fool...a beautiful thing to see.
We’re watching history made. They got over-confident, now they’re going to have to try “extrodinary measures” to bail themselves out. And, the public’s now wise to all their tricks. It’s going to be a very interesting eight days.
oh my goodness... there may be hope for massachusetts after all. and here i had given up all hope.
a non bullsh*tting politician... from mass... that realizes the he would be serving the people, in their seat.
i guess it really must be that cold... hell just froze over.
Perfect! I don’t trust him nor his ilk but I’ll take that answer as a start.
I think he had a tip-off (which impresses me, because he obviously has a smoothly operating research team). Gergen’s question was foreshadowed by a New Republic item making the same argument earlier today. That column had all the earmarks of being a transcription of an overnight talking point e-mail.
I love this guy. I hope and pray he wins. Yet, Bob Beckel on Hannity said no way will a republican win this seat in MA. He said I know elections and have called elections right...as the NJ Governor race...I hope he is wrong.
I take that as a rhetorical question.
I take that as a rhetorical question.
