Obama Approval Rating Dips to New Low (CBS NEWS: Obama Down to 46%, Not Rasmussen, CBS NEWS)

President Obama's job approval rating has fallen to 46 percent, according to a new CBS News poll.

That rating is Mr. Obama's lowest yet in CBS News polling, and the poll marks the first time his approval rating has fallen below the 50 percent mark. Forty-one percent now say they disapprove of Mr. Obama's performance as president.

In last month's CBS News poll, 50 percent of Americans approved of how the president was handling his job, while thirty-nine percent disapproved.

Mr. Obama still receives strong support from Democrats (eight in ten approve of his performance), but his approval rating among Republicans is only 13 percent. More importantly, Mr. Obama's approval rating among independents has declined 10 points in recent months – and it now stands at just 42 percent.

Domestic issues – and not his response to terrorist threats - appear to be driving the president's approval rating downward.

Just 41 percent now approve of his handling of the economy, which Americans say is the nation's most pressing issue. Forty-seven percent disapprove. The president's marks on handling health care, with reforms still under debate in Congress, are even lower – just 36 percent approve, while 54 percent disapprove. Both of these approval ratings are the lowest of Mr. Obama's presidency.

I want to see Couric if she has to announce it. Even Obama voters are getting Obama Remorse. The funniest thing I saw on tv today was CNBC Dodd and Gregg were on. Dodd said Obama is going to pivot and focus on the deficit once he passes heath care. Gregg replied..”It is hard to pivot after you have jumped off a cliff”.

This approval free-fall is occurring at the grass roots level, in total spite of a media hugs that are heretofore unknown.

As Marxist Obama falls, SO DO THE MEDIA! ....and...

Absolute BS, there is no way he’s polling even 42% approval among Independents. Based on the NJ and VA Gov races 2 months ago alone I’d say Bambi is polling 37% approval at best among Indies.

Since coming into office, he has held about one real press conference. His press secretary repeatedly insults them, laughs at them, and cuts them off. He has demanded prime time from all the TV networks whenever he feels like it, and the hell with their programming or ratings. He has shown them repeatedly that he despises them. He hasn’t invited them a single party since coming into office.

Clinton used to invite the press to lavish parties with Hollywood celebrities at least once a week. Obama won’t even let the press into the White House to cover his parties for others.

How much longer are they going to continue lying for him and covering up for him, while he kicks them in the face?

Network TV is nothing more than an Obama machine, and legions of Americans are angry at Obama because he is taking the USA straight to hell with his communist/socialist policies.

Therefore, people are watching less network TV and supporting Obama even less.
