"She will also host an occasional program that will examine inspirational tales involving ordinary Americans."

Hmmmm, I think she should stay with politics. No one thinks Oprah would be a good President. I just fell she would be diluting herself. Looking forward to seeing her, though.

“The exposure can only help Palin if she decides to pursue a 2012 presidential bid.”

I think the opposite is true. Don’t do it Sarah.

I hope this isn’t true. I don’t think it’s a good move at all. She looks better by staying above the fray, and constant exposure on Fox News (and the very fact that it IS Fox News) will give the rest of the media endless fodder for their relentless attacks.

Maybe she doesn’t intend to run in 2012 and is just looking for a good paying job. Ever think of that ?

I know we all like her, but why put up with all that crap the Media likes to throw, when she can settle down to a good paying job where she doesnt have to take any crap.

I wish her luck whatever she is trying to do, and if this doesnt help her with her run for President ,it will pay the bills, and she can wait a couple of years and make a decision.

I am huge Palin fan, but I hope she doesn’t do this. Stick to politics, there’s more than enough work to do there.

I love Sarah, but I think she should take voice lessons.
But if she did, the dimwits would have a cow.

I am NOT a Huck fan but he does have an easy voice.

Her odds of running went from 25% to 0% with this, imo. It’s over. I hope the Republicans can find someone else. I don’t think she’d likely have beat hussein, but at this point I don’t see anyone that can.

I think it’ll actually be good for her cause. If she has aspirations of a Presidential run, some regular exposure will soften the (wrongful, yet nonetheless there) “bogeyman” image some have of her. She’ll do fine.

Who are we to second guess Sarah Palin? She has already pulled off what they said could not be done. Looking back at the post here on FR when she stepped down as Governor, the majority right here thought it was a stupid move and that her career in politics was over.

Sarah knew what she was doing and a few months later and the best selling book of 2009 changed almost every ones mind, even of those who despise her. I'm sure if she is going to show up on Fox more and more, I'm not going to be the one to second guess her.

Queue the Romneyvites. Lets the Palin bashing begin. Oh never mind, I see they are already here. The usual suspects. Same people who said it was over for her when she stepped down as Governor.

Regardless of the fact that I like her better than most other nationally prominent politicians, and that I like FoxNews better than most of the rest of the media, I think it is unhealthy to have a revolving door between journalism and politics. Palin would be better off burnishing her policy credentials than courting greater celebrity, and Fox would be better off finding more Britt Hume’s and John Stossel’s and fewer Mike Huckabees.

“But she is a divisive political figure who not only draws the ire of liberals but some Republicans, including staffers who deal with her during her run as John McCain’s running mate. Steve Schmidt, a top McCain strategist, said on “60 Minutes” last night that “there were numerous instances that she said things that were — that were not accurate that ultimately, the campaign had to deal with.”

TYPICAL carping leftists, hoping ONCE AGAIN, the GOP will eat its own.

NOT THIS TIME.

She has too much support - among GOP AND Tea Party People.

Steve Schmidt, a top McCain strategist, said on "60 Minutes" last night that "there were numerous instances that she said things that were -- that were not accurate that ultimately, the campaign had to deal with."

Remember that name: Steve Schmidt. Since he worked for McCain, we can assume that he likes to earn his living doing consulting for Republican candidates.

Let us resolve, therefore, that the name "Steve Schmidt" is henceforth mud, and that he-who-hires-Steve-Schmidt will have unending opposition from everyone to the right of Lindsey Graham.

The sort of "Republicans" (like McCain, and this Schmidt fellow) who will dump on their fellow GOPers in a heartbeat if it will gain them a pat on the head from CBS News or the New York Times, are not the sort of Republicans that Republicans need. They are the sort of Republicans that Democrats need. To Hell with them.
